Confession- right so... in 2016 , a while back , i decided to 'check it out' ...kind of checked it out ,... because i ignored it in 1993 fully - but knew i had to check it out eventually - so i did , bought everything , studied everything , yahdah hahaha etc tried to study the mindset of it , read the writing all the works of it ~ tried to like /enjoy / understand - tried to reason ~ could not -left some comments on his videos on you tube and yeah , still no. but doing this lead me to the history of hell shit and fire. he lead me to mother lve bone , andy wood and my pandora' s box , right basically. something i regret doing . Only thing i ever got out of 'studying the kurtd' was the bleach album , when he had dark hair ..like it is one pic, but he is idk laying on a grass verge fukng thing i dont know ..no - see there were a bloke who was prettier than him the drummer um..., chad ,,yeah ... chad ....................well anyhow, he was better looking if you like that type of thing , omg hate this and one more thing , the film of it ~Last days by Gus Van Sant, starring Michael Pitt, which was not exactly kurt but based loosely on his story . It was art house mainly. I liked Pitt. but beyond that, no. it is something i can never reason with. i tried. i hate it all. [apart from shanoon hoon although hoon was not really grunmge anyway still] ....but i have a huge knowledge of this , but the film, ho w Pitt portrays cobain character ~ it still remains one of my faves. *stays quiet*

Well, the core of her songs is indie folk. Paris has always said that. But bands that she likes or is influenced by, I've only ever heard her name check guitar bands. She's a rock chick. She always mentions that she grew up listening to all sorts of music - obviously bc of Michael. But music she's discovered and loves for herself, it's all rock music.

It makes me a little bit sad, though, tbh. Bc she's got a whole proper career up and running. Lisa Marie never got her career going in quite the same way. I mean, partly bc she was focused on bringing up her kids so it was a bit different for her. I'm not saying LMP made the wrong choices, I just mean I wish she could have pushed on even further with her music and songwriting. I think LMP had a better voice than Paris. I honestly think she had more layers than Paris.

Um, mebbe, but I don't agree. I really think LMP had something. That indefinable something that you know is there but you just can't pin it down. But Paris is doing just fine and is really interesting and really intelligent. I haven't seen a bad interview with her yet. I also love the way she has taken control. She stopped people asking about her Dad in interviews and I think that was the right thing to do. She wants to be taken on her own merits, not to be just Michael's daughter. Or maybe it's just too painful for her to talk about him or maybe it would end up all being about the controversies. Whatever her reasons, I think she made the right call and she's stuck to it resolutely. She's nobody's fool, that one.
The very first thing I ever saw of Paris was a little vid of her doing an acoustic version of Undone. And I've never been able to find it since. It was years ago, I think the link popped up in a YT comment. And it was great but it seems to have disappeared. The official version of Undone is out there but not this little acoustic one. So frustrating.
