They’d rather release a concert in crappy VHS video quality but with pristine audio quality, than the other way around. Why? If they can do one, they should do the other as well.
That's BS! Beyonce concert movie was 3FCKN HOURS.....This is thriller we're talking about! It can be done!Jeez...MJ stans are harder to please than the Star Wars ones. I thought the doc was fine. If they covered every little thing about the album, like breakdowns of every track worked on like ya'll want, this thing would have been like 4 hours long. The average person isn't trying to sit through all of that, so this was a good piece on the impact of the album for the masses. The hardcore fans already have plenty of books, articles and interviews available for every nut and bolt used to make the album
Yeah like...how tf can you include Brooke shields but not ola....again make it make senseI got to watch thanks to a friend of moine sending it to me and i loved it! The only thing that i didnt like was they didnt include recording sessions for ''pyt'' or '' lady in my life and''human nature . I kinda wish they didnt include the victory tour mainly cuz mike DID NOT want to do that tour but did thanks to his abusive father but i loved some the unseen rehearsal footage for the thriller dance sessions ,i also loved the way (i forgot his name but i hope i got this right) steve ivoy used the F bomb to describe mike's preformance for motown 25. I wish ola ray was included i know alot of fans dont like her but she was in the thriller video so she was apart of the magic and also quincy wasnt included only a few audio talk from him .
Thats what i was thinking like brooke was just a date for one night thing whereas ola was in the most historic video of all time!Yeah like...how tf can you include Brooke shields but not ola....again make it make sense
Those bits are not really unseen. They're all on "Making Michael Jackson's Thriller".i loved some the unseen rehearsal footage for the thriller dance sessions
not with the one where mike is wearing a white shirtThose bits are not really unseen. They're all on "Making Michael Jackson's Thriller".
Yeah, that part. Goes to prove they still have the raw material used to edit the special, meaning they could re-release the thing as an extended cut.not with the one where mike is wearing a white shirt

It's been checked by some other folks and although it sounds weird, it's the name of the company it seems. I googled it myself and couldn't find anything either, but if some other people could find, well, I'm believing them until they're proven wrong.I googled it & didn't find nothing about that company! One of the dancers said that it was it more pop locking as well. But we only see that one guy vibrating. They cut out alot of things but a full length? I doubt it. But it does look that way. I never understood the director looking out the window scene but now it's starting to make sense. I just can't understand why michael or nobody else has mentioned thisI saw a newspaper clipping recently that claimed that a full-length video for “Beat It” (a la “Thriller”) was filmed and went unreleased. Having rewatched the “Beat It” segment, specifically the following unreleased scenes, I now firmly believe it, as I can’t imagine anywhere where clips this comparatively calm would go.
Which thus begins my new campaign:

Who other than the hardcore fans have seen this documentary?Unlike other Estate's, their goal is to think about the commercial success of a product, a song, a show, a documentary. That is also why I don't think there will be more posthumous albums, There's a lot of stuff that is releasable but doesn't meet their exaggerated standards.
Bid Wars and viability are at plays. Why have they made this documentary available only on Showtime (pay tv) & MTV (cable tv) and not on CBS where it could have been seen by millions of causual non-fans, too?

It should have been 4 hours at least! We’re not talking about some little album that came out and did decent numbers unexpectedly. We’re talking about the single BIGGEST selling album of all time by the biggest celebrity to ever walk the planet. It kind of deserves more than a half assed 1hr and 29 minute documentary that can’t talk about anything other than Thriller, Beat It and Billie Jean whilst ignoring a large chunk of information and skipping other tracks.Jeez...MJ stans are harder to please than the Star Wars ones. I thought the doc was fine. If they covered every little thing about the album, like breakdowns of every track worked on like ya'll want, this thing would have been like 4 hours long. No, worse than that, he's been quite ornery. Is Quincy senile?
Eh… did it?Bad 25 was 2 hours long and did every track, just a reminder.
Setting aside the fact that he and the estate are almost certainly still on bad terms, he’s kind of become an asshole in his old age. He goes out of his way to dismiss MJ’s talent and contributions whenever he can. I think a lot of it is because (1) the only reason he has any contemporary relevance is because of MJ, and (2) people are slowly beginning to recognize that he wasn’t the only intelligent musical mind at play. It's just mind boggling to me that Quincy Jones is still alive and yet they couldn't agree to get him on this. Is Quincy senile? Otherwise, why so much greed. Ugh.
