Random thought but why doesn’t the estate just release Michaels short films in 4K? There’s no ****** way it’s hard to get the master vid out of the shelf or whatever and rescan it and upload it

They try to avoid making too much of proper quality footage/videos of Michael being available to the world.

As for 7 Digits, really liking the groove
 
Rarity principle. Maybe it was a clause of MJs will. Would be ironic if announcing a new product a year was actually wrong.

A 4K remaster of the Superbowl performance wouldn’t be possible as it was shot on videotape cameras, not 35mm film (like his music videos/short films). If the estate were to remaster the Super Bowl, their best bet would be to use a high quality master tape of the performance and upscale it using AI to 1080p HD (or 4K, but it wouldn’t be true 4K like the remasters of Beat It and Thriller).

Edit: Looks like someone has already done this themselves lol

Make Or Break having complete vocals is what excites me the most since it's one of the Bad era songs I've been looking forward to hearing the most, can't believe the estate is sleeping on those songs just like that. They oughta make Bad 40.

I have the impression that Tomboy and Turning Me Off were more appreciated by MJ than by the collaborators!

Yes I'm happy to finally have confirmation on Make Or Break! John Barnes liked him very much. I would love to hear this demo.

Make or break from that book it's not writing that he recorded verses so it's not finished

It says that he did a reference vocal which I assumed before it meant all MJ recorded were scratch vocals. I'm not sure if it's a scratch vocal given Joe Vogel now says that it's a complete vocal but at least it's confirmation that the song is in a releasable state.

No complete vocals on Make or Break

"Make or Break was a song written by Michael and Myself. It was never fully finished. There was a demo incomplete vocal. There is a partial lyric as well. It was the third piece of music I created using the Synclavier. I like its potential as a song." - John Barnes

Yeah that's true but it wouldn't be considered complete if it's a scratch vocal, since it isn't final. The wording on the tweet is what confuses me.

Now this brings even more confusion lol. I still stand with the idea that what was recorded was a scratch vocal that's advanced enough to be releasable, similar to the demo of Streetwalker or Dream Away.

Might be mumbles....he did specify there's a partial lyric so I'd assume the partial lyric might be the chorus
