"The record’s cover is a cropped version of a 1940 photograph Weegee made on Coney Island. Today, the Ukrainian lensman is regarded as one of the most influential New York street photographers. Not if you look at the women's bathing suits - although I was thinking 1950's rather than 1940's, tbh.

@zinniabooklover you like literally nothing that I like. I can stare at these faces for hours (not true but it makes it more dramatic). I never see the 1940s,50s or 30s like this jubilant festival like atmosphere this picture projects. If I didn’t know any better they were watching a great concert. As for the bathing suits I was very surprised it was that…nude. I thought people back then were more prudish.

I just love it, so many happy faces it lust have been a great day for these people.
