Yeah there's been this persistent rumor that certain people have the HIStory multitracks. This only lends credence to that theory.

It’s very bizarre how multitracks from all of MJ’s main albums are circulating amongst collectors with the exception of Invincible; when it comes to Invincible, we have nothing apart from a few a capellas (like those of Privacy or Threatened).

Blame the 2013 Sony hack. A lot of stuff got out there and we still don't know the full extent of what leaked.

Off the Wall is the only notable outlier. Apparently the leaks came from when the multitracks were digitized in 2016 for the OTW doc by Spike Lee.

The OTW multitracks go back further than 2016.

God I'd love the multitracks to Tabloid Junkie to leak, one of favourite MJ songs and one of his most complex compositions

Here's the thing: a small group of people from around 2012 could get their hands on Michael/ Janet/ Madonna multitracks. There were a few songs on that original list that they never bought. Tabloid Junkie is one of them, Someone In The Dark, 2000 Watts, You Rock My World and She Drives Me Wild are the others.

Last time I checked, She Drives Me Wild was in the hands of some hip-hop producers and that Tabloid Junkie mix seemed new, so I wouldn't say these two are no longer circulating.

Other than that, it's crazy to realize that at one point, damm near the entire catalog of three famous artists (outside Janet's first two albums, Madonna's post-2003 material, and cuts from the Invincible album + some of his Motown stuff) was at one point for sale.

Tabloid Junkie mix isn't new. Like I said before it was posted a few years ago.

If nr 1 gets removed with an actual good song it looks good, not that I have any idea about what these songs sound like Bar the last 2

1. I don't have exact proof, but well-respected trader DJ Topcat has testified that he saw some high-level hip-hop producers with both SDMW and Dangerous.

2. I assumed that too back when it was first uploaded, but some users have brought up certain issues with the track (how the sample of MJ's speech at Neverland sounded fan-made, how amateurish the mix sounds, etc.) that made me think otherwise.

hot take but the Loren music is some of the worst MJ did in his adult career. I don’t like a single track they did together. Superfly is the best and it’s just alright imo

I like the Loren tracks but they're definitely not as great as the Teddy or Bottrell cuts. Some of these sound like cheesy kids' show themes ("Work That Body" comes to mind), while others are just plain undeveloped ("Serious Effect" and "She Got It"). The best in my opinion is Man In Black and the ending part of Serious Effect, because of how cool and slick they sound.

Serious Effect could be a single in my estimation. It sounds like classic Michael.

That was a different time. He had just passed away...& I don't recall them releasing much after Michael & Xscape. They are both a decade old now

after TII they released a lot of unreleased songs on Michael, Bad25 and Xscape
After what is probably the most successful biopic of all time, one can expect something similar
if not 2026, then when?

I believe there is enough material for one more album and that’s it. Probably about 10 album quality songs in the vault.
