So the ranking goes like this:If this is authentic, Neff-U did as good of a job as he probably could have. I still think the song is painfully average, but I love the small embellishments. It goes to show that Neff-U is one of the best producers to ever work on an unreleased MJ project—he just understood how to do it right in ways other producers didn’t.
That said, I still don’t believe that this is real. It sounds like a VERY high-quality seminar recording with overdubs. I can think of a single MJ rough mix that sounds this bad. The estate has released some bad quality mixes in their day, but if this is truly all they had to work with for this song, I’m not at all surprised that it hasn’t come out yet.
stop spreading misinfo Mr. MJJC Shirtvocals slowed down.
What are you bringing to the table??vocals slowed down.
So the ranking goes like this:
1. Neff-U
2. John McClain
3. Mark Ronson
4. all the Xscape producers
5. Darkchild
6. literal ****** dogshit
7. Eddie Cascio and John Porte
If this is actually real then it's pretty obvious why it didn't make the Michael album. This mix is HORRIBLE.Its real, its just they used several filters and such to try and pull the vocal out, to little success.
Neff U played the demo tape he had out of his speakers, recorded that with a lq mic and then used the recording as the foundation of his mix.If this is actually real then it's pretty obvious why it didn't make the Michael album. This mix is HORRIBLE.
Absolutely fantastic. Doesn't sound unauthentic and still has the magic of the leaks. Great job guys!anyway, listen to this shit
Banger, great job!anyway, listen to this shit
Seems like he just did it the hard wayNeff U played the demo tape he had out of his speakers, recorded that with a lq mic and then used the recording as the foundation of his mix.
Certainly sounds like it's been incredibly fucked with, yeah.its real guys, whoever got a hold of it was either given a fucked file, or fucked it themselves.
Shouldn't there have been additional lyrics? This user had mentioned some, I remember reading about them elsewhere too iirc, from what source do they come? The vocals to the authentic one should contain lines like, " Sally, don't let the devil get you"
They differ from the leaked recording if it's the vocal take I'm thinking of.
sound greatIt finally leaked
sound great
can't wait for Beanos ultimate version of the song
anyway, listen to this shit
I think im more upset about the quality, than the content of the songI am telling since months that the Neff-u mix will be a big disappointment.. no one wanted to believe it. Now you see… I didn’t believe it’s real when I first heard it.
amazing that this version sounds better and cleaner than the Neff-U mixanyway, listen to this shit
I mean A.I. wasn't a thing at the time. But still Beano's work is incredible!amazing that this version sounds better and cleaner than the Neff-U mix
I actually like that HT mix. I think it's clearly just a rough idea but it's cool.
I think he wanted to turn the track into a Rock song seeing how he added a guitar part in 2008. The 2008 version even has a guitar solo on the bridge so it's safe to say the Neff-U mix is closer to what MJ would've wanted.I always wondered what Michael wanted 'Hollywood Tonight' to sound btw; because although he used the Hall & Oates/Billie Jean bassline for the demo, the theme of the song makes me believe that the final outcome was supposed to be less 'poppy' and more intense; something in the vein of 'Dangerous', Who Is It, GOAL etc.
Ah a rock song, yes that would also make a bit more sense in relation to the theme than the version that was releasedI think he wanted to turn the track into a Rock song seeing how he added a guitar part in 2008. The 2008 version even has a guitar solo on the bridge so it's safe to say the Neff-U mix is closer to what MJ would've wanted.
