In 2024, how do you think the 'The Way You Make Me Feel' MV holds up?

Well she got scared for her life when Michael disappeared, because she was now all alone in a dark gloomy alley. She was really relieved when he came back so she ran into his arms like, "Never leave me alone in a dark gloomy alley again!" I'm sure that was all part of Michael's plan to scare the girl so she would cuddle with him, as he told us in Thriller.
That's a possible interpretation.

Good point. I wouldn't advise any man to pull the skin of his skull with his bare hands.
Also, I would think the procedure to transform yourself in a rabbit is really unhealthy.
Turning to a dancing zombie is unhealthy as well.

I first saw the TWYMMF video as a teenager. Did not detect any harassment innuendos or felt uneasy. I took it as a teenage girl fantasy of being a desirable babe playing hard-to-get with Michael Jackson and all the flirty moves that come with it. It lacks realism in that the female feels uncomfortable being chased and the men are predatory. It’s all fun and teasing, with an 80s-esque street serving as the backdrop.

Before I give my opinion on this subject, I feel its necessary to share some personal background, so folks know where I am coming from.

I am a steadfast Christ follower, who doesn't feel any need to apologize for what I believe. I trust what God says in the book of Genesis, that woman was made from man's rib...and this detail is very important. When you really think about it, the rib is located at the side of the body - why is this relevant? Well, if God had intended for women to be inferior to men, He'd have created Eve from a part of Adam that was in the back. And if He wanted women to be superior, He'd have used a part from the front. But neither was chosen, and why? Its simple: God created both sexes to be equals, complimenting each other instead of always fighting for dominance.

In terms of the word "feminism", I believe in the original form. Women should always be respected, protected, treated fairly, and always dignified. No man has the right to assault a woman, sexually or otherwise. Having said that, I completely reject the modern revised idea of "radical feminism", which says women are inherently superior to men, we should believe them about everything without question, and that they're always a perpetual victim. As such, when I hear terms like "toxic masculinity" or "rape culture", it riles me up like crazy. Just because some men are truly selfish and evil, that doesn't mean we all are, so please stop treating us that way. As Michael said in his song "Privacy" from the 2001 album Invincible, "Now there's a lesson to learn, respect's not given, it's earned." I believe that about all people, and we should never paint any whole group negatively based on the actions of a few bad examples.

OK, now to my comments on the video...

I agree with some of the people earlier, who say the film appears to be set in a somewhat fictionalized version of reality. While its true that most smart women would tend to avoid dark alleys at night, I think a lot of reasonable men would do the same. But its also important to note that the main woman in the video is not alone. She's surrounded by people, potential witnesses...and in most cases, even the most determined rapist won't risk getting caught in a situation like that. When Michael does scream to get the lady's attention, from my perspective it doesn't seem aimed just at her; he's also trying to get the stereotypical "macho" types nearby to pipe down. He doesn't see this woman as an object to be used and thrown away. Instead, he has both love and respect for her, and he wants to show that the best way he knows how. For the rest of the story's duration, its clearly a mutual game of "cat and mouse", but not with any ill intent regarding either party. She's behaving toward Michael as if to say, "If you want me, come and get me", and his responses are clearly like he's thinking "My pleasure." Most reasonable women aren't content to be stubbornly alone for the rest of their lives, and they know when its okay to tease a man playfully, never using their sexuality as a cruel weapon or means of selfish control. And like others have said before me, the film ends in a chaste hug; no overt making out or other pointless garbage.

Anyway, that's my take; I hope anyone who reads this likes it.
