Regarding MJ covers and samples

I guess people just didn't add the recent ones yet. Have you got some that were released on an album?

I actually thought of dividing it into two tables, one for alive stuff and one for post-2009 stuff, but you can sort by date anyway.

I was the one who added the stuff from MJ-The Musical. But I must admit to being a lot less enthusiastic about the huge amount of bandwagon jumpers, so I leave that to others.

I just added two more. Seems there aren't many songs from The Wiz.

Both links are missing:

Wikipedia missing:

In the Jackson Family section of this forum, there's a thread which contains gigantic list of artists sampling or covering MJ, the website domain is from a North European/Scandinavian country if I remember well.

Without checking, I'm quite sure this one is missing too:

Also seen on wikipedia: London Symphonic Orchestra . As far as I know, they did NOT cover all thoses songs in 1995 , the artist is London Synphonic Orchestra ( https://www.discogs.com/artist/6718935-The-London-Synphonic-Orchestra ) ... Which sounds much more "synthetic" than "symphonic".

I would still like confirmation about this one though:
Well I the title say London Symphony Orchestra, but YouTube says "The Vienna Symphony Orchestra - Vienna Symphonic Orchestra Project Love Flows"

Yet another one missing (from Wikipedia). (Though, back in the 70s and probably earlier it was a common thing that a song was released on the same year by different artists ... which to me feels more like "parellel" versions than actual "covers".)

Ok, I just added this one, plus some by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

I'm wondering if I'll Be There should be included, since the page mentions that Jackson 5 (and actually Jacksons) covers are excluded. One could consider that he kept performing it live through his whole solo career. But then it's missing both Mariah Carey versions and many others.

Also wondering about Ain't No Sunshine since it is not an MJ-original, his version was already a cover, and additionally the original is famous as well... Because if that one is included, this opens the door to many Motown discography covers... All The Things You Are by Jermaine... Rockin' Robin, You've Got A Friend by anyone who ever covered these etc... Though, maybe not sooo many as Jackson 5 are not included.

And maybe... there should be a distinct category for tribute albums (such as https://www.discogs.com/release/3011512-Various-Swingin-To-Michael-Jackson-A-Tribute , or https://www.discogs.com/release/2681870-Racine-And-The-Royal-Symphony-A-Tribute-To-Michael-Jackson , https://www.discogs.com/master/5362...don-Synphonic-Orchestra-Plays-Michael-Jackson , etc ...) rather than listing all the tracks.

(I'm making these comments here because I don't want to change the Wiki myself. I just don't like the "public" tracing on wikis.)
