this version of APWNN by 'Spino' was posted in 2011 before the full song leaked or released, I'm curious if it's the writer's demo for MJ or if it's just a cover by someone who had the song

It is not the writer's demo for Michael Jackson.

It is just a cover recorded by a mysterious guy under the pseudonym of Spino.

Spino does not want to reveal his true identity.

I always theorized that this is just Dr. Freeze’s writers’ demo with a fake name attached.

That said, I always thought the production on this version was vastly superior to MJ’s version. It’s truer to the original song and has a stronger sense of rising and falling tension throughout. Just lovely.

This leaked years before MJ's version of the song was leaked or released. Some of the instrumentation and background vocals are exactly the same.

the instrumental is completely different from what I can tell, it's just the same guitar sample from horse with no name
background vocals sound like dr freeze/elliot straite but it's a different take than either MJ version. also has the "la la la"s which were re-recorded in the stargate remix
It's for sure possible for someone to re-create the instrumental and record a cover but it's the BGVs that confuse me

I don't really think Spino is Freeze, it does look like it but as we have already heard Freeze sing in Jungle (and the others demos) and the voice is not same

This guy Spino and KROK (who did the I Have This Dream tribute which is literally the song but with other singers) are a mystery how they actually "recreated" two never before heard songs very well, as if they had access to them.

(writing this, I just remembered that Tempamental gained access to Blue Gangsta, I have the theory that at some point MJ's security was breached or maybe something happened to get other singers with unreleased MJ songs)

From most of the Invincible demos I've heard I wonder what Michael brought to the sessions other than his voice, it sounds like people presented songs and he sang them
