Michael isn't getting honored, Quincy is getting honored because he's dead. Nowhere did they acknowledge Michael. Stevie was the only one who said Michael's name when he was about to perform we are the world. Will Smith even ignore Michael's name when he was saying Aretha Franklin and all the other artists that Quincy help boost their career. I'm sorry but I'll call a spade a spade. Michael's picture was up on the screen in the collage. After Quincy Jones literally disrespected Michael Jackson after he died,

quincy wrote none of those songs so why are they honoring him with Michael's music?

All he did was schedule muscians to come play the songs michael wrote. Insanity.

There’s still massive amounts of bitterness towards Q in here. The man was a legend and produced Michael’s most iconic work , we need to accept it and move on.

As for Monae, whilst it wasn’t great , she’s prob a big MJ fan so props to her. It was a tribute to Quincy anyway, not Michael

EVERYTIME! Some people here discredit all the time any cover of Michael's music. If it doesn't say "performed by Michael Jackson" they rush to type on their keyboard to say that the artist did the WORST cover in the universe. Incapable of accepting that covers are good even when they are performed by someone other than Michael. Horrible attitude lol It's sad

Rod Temperton was the guy who wrote Rock with You and Thriller. Michael made better work without Quincy anyway

You never know, I'm sure Quincy was not the only person in the music industry who knew Rod Temperton. They might have eventually cross path through someone else.

I just honestly feel that Michael was destined for greatness, and it would have happened with or without Quincy. It would have been different, but still great in its own way, like the Dangerous album was great.
