"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

This is definitely fake but it made me think how cool it would be if they used orchestral versions of MJ's songs for some of the movie's soundtrack. Doesn't have to be the songs as a whole specifically, just throw in some notes here and there that'll slowly surprise the viewer and make them go "wait, this is actually Human Nature!" or "this is Billie Jean!".
I’d like them to use MJ’s classical compositions made in 2009 to be used. We know there was at least two that were pretty complete

Interesting that it doesn't include the Wicked: For Good poster which has already been released.

Anyway, that's irrelevant, I guess!

5m 12s - brief comment from John Campea ... his team will be live-streaming coverage of the Lionsgate presentation at CinemaCon.

a)
The ‚Wicked For Good‘ Poster is way down in the middle..

b)
Campea will do a recap after each studio’s presentation via a live-stream. He won’t be live-streaming the presentations.

That's me being a dunce! I did see it but didn't clock it as a placeholder image. There seems to be a fully illustrated one (official, afaik) already online.

Thank you. I should have expressed myself more clearly.

Love this idea! :)

All the excitement for nothing!

Not a single thing , they have even shown trailers for films that come out after Michael.

I suspect the rumours about delays are true

Hate to say, but not presenting anything visual to preview/promote sounds like it'll be a 2026 release. Unless we're doing a rapid promotion run.

Lionsgate said they are announcing things about the biopic in the next couple of weeks, I have a theory on why they decided not to promote at CinemaCon, and the same reason they did not want to promote at the Superbowl, because there are too many things that put the attention off the biopic, I genuinely believe Lionsgate has been waiting for the right time to promote the biopic by itself without any other movies being shared/announced at the same time
If they really were going to delay the biopic they would not submit it in the 2025 film slot at CinemaCon, now whatever this next announcement is in a couple weeks will determine everything.

Considering post production started over a year ago…..yet all we have is a single photograph.

This movie is 100% delayed until 2026, that bloody reshoot about the entire 3rd act must have been true ffs

I am choosing to believe in this as well.

I mean, even if it was going to be delayed, they would have already done that. Why keep on the expectation and not just come out and say "hey, it's 2026 now"?

However, considering the time, it would be kind of weird not to get ANY type of promotion/trailer/photos in April. We're getting close.

Gonna take a hit off this premium-grade copium and say they're probably not showing anything because the marketing campaign is starting off with a teaser later this month. Why show a trailer you're going to publicly release in a few weeks anyway?

Release a teaser at the tail end of May, official trailer in June, the week of his passing and a second trailer in August, the week of his birthday.

While I'm disappointed we still have nothing new, releasing anything important on April Fool's Day would just have been a bad idea,
Sounds like they didn't have anything ready for today. Just listened to the John Campea livestream. Lionsgate apparently just said, 'We're working on it, we'll have updates soon' and moved on to the next thing real quick.

so I think it's better this way. Hopefully we get something in the next few weeks!
🤞

Reshoots were supposed to happen in March so there’s no way they would have finished post production. October release date is a long shot but let’s see what they said in a few weeks.
