Marvel Cinematic Universe

I agree. Yet I think it's great to have a propper closure for what's been built up with Loki & Ant Man 3.
I mean, if their idea is to have Doom come and kill every Kang, they can keep that. I really rather they just move on.

I find RDJ Doom hilarious for what it's worth anyway. Like this is what the fans deserve is my honest opinion. Maybe I just like evil.

Honestly my biggest worry is that they'll just make it all about it being RDJ. Doom doesn't really take his mask off and I just don't see them not showing RDJ's face when they've paid so much to have him in the movie. I could be wrong and they'll do it right, I just can't see it personally lol.

Also I bet they've probably gonna make him a Stark variant and that's just lame af lol.

The entire multiverse idea is prety lame imo. Its second phase is nearing its end and there's no excitement, no tension yet.

I have no clue what Feige's gonna achieve with this.

The only thing I can see, they're paving the way for "The Young Avengers".

Yeah, everything they were building up to was about kang and that's not the main focus any more. Just seems like they're ramping up to a finale without the build up.

Could the TVA continue its work without any Kang variants? O.B. as a fulltime Kang substitute maybe?

That's the much more likely option yeah.

If they had kept Kang, then the multiverse would've worked differently, one guy affecting them all.

As it is now, it's really not a big deal. It's just a hazy outline of "Multiverse", Spider-Man 3, Doctor Strange 2, and Loki, that's really enough. And if F4 and Secret Wars put a cap on that then I think that's substantial. Doom emerging from one alternate universe to become The Big Threat is a decent alternative idea.

Of course they are. It's gonna be hilarious.

But this is really just a made for movies Doom, they'll soft reboot a fully accurate F4 and X-Men, and Who knows what kinda Spider-Man, and we'll just move past the MCU. For a whole new era.

I'm not much into the comics, do the Fantastic 4 interact with Howard Stark or Hank Pym in the comics?
Fantastic Four are in present day in comics so they couldn't really interact with Howard Stark. Hank Pym was the original Ant-Man before Scott Lang was created so they did interact with him.

Should I go back and watch the Netflix stuff or can I get away with watching this?

I mean, I trust they're both good
I'd say you should watch it yeah. It's a continuation of that series. If you watch the netflix series I would also recommend watching at least The Defenders between season 2 and 3, it bridges those and season 3 won't make sense if you don't. You can probably get by not watching any of the other netflix stuff if you only care about daredevil as the other shows aren't really currently being explored in the MCU (If they ever will be).

I mean I've always been more interested in Jessica Jones than anything. That first season seems quite incredible.

I'll definitely take that in consideration tho

I think all those Netflix shows were pretty neat. Even the much maligned Iron Fist had promise and the actor has a lotta charm. I just never invested on all of it.

Kinda offtopic: is the Sony Universe now dead? Or could they incorporate the "Sinister Five" into the MCU (next Spider movie?)?

Yeah they were pretty cool, I didn't watch every season of every show personally. I watched a bit of Iron Fist but found the character incredibly whiny and stopped. I don't think it was the actor's fault, just the way he was directed.

I saw that earlier but wasn't sure what it actually was, lots of people coming back indeed

They are revealing Avengers: Doomsday cast on live stream right now:

It will have many of the old X-Men cast like Patrick Steward and Ian McKellen.
where is my boy?
