1. Unbreakable
2. Invincible
3. Break of Dawn
4. Heaven Can Wait
5. Heartbreaker
6. You Rock My World
7. Butterflies
8. Speechless
9. Threatened
10. 2000 Watts
11. You Are My Life
12. Don't Walk Away
13. Privacy
14. The Lost Children
15. Whatever Happens
16. Cry

The approach I tried to take was,

1. Uptempo track
2. Uptempo track
3. Midtempo track
4. Midtempo track
5. Uptempo track
6. Uptempo track
7. Midtempo track
8. Midtempo track

And so on. "Heartbreaker" is separated from "Unbreakable" and "Invincible, so you're not already burnt out on the heavy numbers by the time you get to "Break of Dawn". The first 8 tracks all flow together nicely.

Now the second half. "2000 Watts" following "Threatened" works; at the end of the "Threatened", Rod Serling says, "What you have just witnessed could be the end of a particularly terrifying nightmare. It isn't. It's the beginning", which segues nicely into Teddy Riley saying at the start of "2000 Watts", "You may now apply your 3D glasses. As we prepare to proceed, prepare to proceed into 2000 watts". Then, after these two uptempo "heavy" tracks play back to back, you gotta get back to the midtempo tracks. "You Are My Life" and "Don't Walk Away" work together. So far, so good.

After those two ballads, gotta get back to the uptempo, heavier tracks. Unfortunately, "Privacy" is the only one that's left. This means that after that song, you're already back to the midtempo tracks. Making matters worse, you're then left with three ballads playing back to back: "The Lost Children", "Whatever Happens" and "Cry". Yeah, still many ballads lol. But "Whatever Happens" is considerably different from all the other ballads, too, so I don't think you'll be as burnt out by the time the album ends. "Cry" works as the closer to the album with MJ saying "change the world".

Now how would you rearrange the tracks?

I'd simply swap You Are My Life and Privacy. It won't improve the album, but it would flow a bit better having the 2 heavier hitting songs together, rather than the way it was presented. It would have been even more effective had Shout not been replaced by YAML imo.

It's a good idea, but unfortunately your track list losts message, that MJ tried to tell listeners

Threatened had to be the last track. Because it perfectly close message MJ tried to tell from the beginning of the album

Unbrekable is an aggressive opener. Threatened is an aggressive closing, leading back to Unbreakable! That's a loop. Words "What you have just witnessed could be the end of a particularly terrifying nightmare. It isn't. It's the beginning" - is a prophecy before fire!

And fire is what we hear in the intro of Unbrekable! So basically Threatened is the last track on Invincible and a prequel for Unbreakable at the same time.

The only thing, that I would like to do with Invincible track list (considering, that we can't pick something from unreleased material), is get rid off 2000 Watts and Privacy!

Absolutely useless trash songs, that only make album worse!

There is no need for Privacy - we already have Unbreakable and Threatened, which are much better

And 2000 Watts is just a joke, it's too much for MJ song.

Rearranging the track order won't make the album any better.

Firstly go back in time to Aug 2001 !

Spend 2 days to mull fresh sequencing of the songs. Start with Unbreakable, try putting a ballad after each uptempo song. Realise that mere change in the sequence of the tracks won’t do the job. So Edit and trim the longer songs to 4.5mins. Remove the acapella from Speecless, speed up Break of Dawn to 1.25x speed. Remove the embrassing lyrics from Heaven can wait and the Camera noise from Privacy.

Give it a Listen now after the above changes. Take the mastered recordings and put it in a New Vault called Unbreakable (destroy all other copies) for safety of them being found and leaked.

Take a short holiday break -
cruise to the Pacific Ocean for a refresh your mind. When in the middle of nowhere take the Key out to the Vault. Raise it up to the sky for divine blessing and finally with a sense of relief, throw the Key into the Pacific Ocean.

After the holiday, it’s time to get back to work :

Go back to the old vault and pick any 14 songs from the below list for release :

Xcape
Fall Again
Hollywood Tonight
Do you know where your children are
Best of Joy
Chicago
Blue Gangsta
Seeing voices
Slave to the Rhythm
A place with no name
In the back
We've had enough
For all time
Chicago 1945
Days in Glo Kestashire (or how ever he prounces it)
Family thing
Deep in the Night

There's a reason why Heartbreaker comes after Unbreakable. Heartbreaker is practically a step up from Unbreakable in terms of speed and intensity. You can compare this ratio to the first two songs on HIStory, where TDCAU is also faster than Scream.

1. Unbreakable
2. Heartbreaker
3. Break of Dawn
4. Heaven Can Wait
5. You Rock My World
6. Butterflies
7. Speechless
8. Invincible
9. You Are My Life
10. Don't Walk Away
11. The Lost Children
12. Cry
13. Whatever Happens
14. Threatened

Here. Pefrect Invincible order.

Invincible as a title track in the middle. It perfectly splits album in 2 parts!

1. Unbreakable
2. Heartbreaker
3. Break of Dawn
That's what the first three songs would look like to me, too. After Unbreakable and Heartbreaker, there's no need for a third song that sounds like a mix of both in terms of tempo (Unbreakable) and content (Heartbreaker).

Rearrange Invincible without changing any of the tracks

1. Unbreakable
2. Heartbreaker
3. Break of Dawn
4. You Rock My World
5. 2000 Watts
6. Butterflies
7. Speechless
8. Whatever Happens
9. Threatened
xxxx beginning of the danger zone xxxx Please leave the room immediately
10. Invincible
11. Heaven Can Wait
12. You Are My Life
13. Don't Walk Away
14. Privacy
15. The Lost Children
16. Cry

Taking @Hot_Street 's advice about "Heartbreaker" needing to follow "Unbreakable", I think this would have been best

1. Unbreakable
2. Heartbreaker
3. Break of Dawn
4. Heaven Can Wait
5. You Rock My World
6. Invincible
7. Butterflies
8. Speechless
9. Threatened
10. 2000 Watts
11. You Are My Life
12. Don't Walk Away
13. Privacy
14. Whatever Happens
15. The Lost Children
16. Cry

Although the last three tracks are ballads, I think "Whatever Happens" sounds different enough to "The Lost Children" and "Cry" that it's not much of an issue.

If Invincible was this, it would have been a smash hit in the era it was released in. Baffles me that he had such brilliant songs that he recorded and then passed over.

1) Unbreakable
2) Hollywood Tonight
3) Blue Gangsta
4) Break of Dawn
5) You Rock My World
6) Speechless
7) Chicago
8) A Place With No Name
9) We’ve Had Enough
10) Whatever Happens
11) Seeing Voices
12) Xscape
