The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

I’m thinking the 6/15/2009 bit might have been additional vocals and/or the final mix done in MJ’s life. The person who shared it with me has been spot on so I have no reason to doubt them!

Nevertheless, extraordinary tune.
ohh alr !! if true, especially if it was June 19 like some sources say, then his energy was honestly still insane because this day was apparently when everyone described him as looking the most ill, incoherent etc...and then he proceeded to record the most heavenly vocals known to man lol

On the old MaxJax forum, there was an insider who leaked some info on Michael before it came out and he said that the majority of the music MJ was working on in his final years were ballads and midtempo songs. Looking at the titles and what we know of them, that seems to be the case.
So he followed even more the path he had taken with the quieter songs on Invincible.

I'm super eager to learn about the kind of pop music Michael was working on in his last years, the RedOne songs will be perfect to showcase that. He probably didn't have much creative input in those sessions (at least not compared to the Brad Buxer/Neff-U sessions) but he still must've had a hand on the production of those songs. Honestly with everything that leaked in the last 3 years I wouldn't put it past me that those will leak one day as well lol

Makes me wonder why the RedOne track wasn’t released on Michael. He’s said there’s lots of ideas but one is releasable, it would just take a guest artist to fill out the missing parts. Why didn’t they get Lady Gaga on it, she was working with RedOne and MJ himself wanted her to open this is it. If the track is even remotely releasable, it would’ve done huge numbers as a single in 2010.

RedOne won't allow the Estate to release his songs unless the proceeds go to charity, I think that's the only reason. And you know how money hungry the Estate is so it's never seeing the light of day lmao

Edit: Yeah he says it's because of that. He also says that the one song that can be released is about love, maybe it's "Dancing For Love"?

I would assume the track is Dancing For Love. But imagine if it was the lead single from Michael, and the proceeds were donated to charity. it would’ve been the perfect first new music from the estate. People would’ve really gotten behind that.

We're clearly in the worst timeline, because we're asking for a better option than what we got, like it wouldn't be better if MJ just didn't freaking die 😭

Yes yes of course. I’m just saying, the estate had the opportunity to start really strong with the unreleased material and instead choose the Casio tracks, pissing off his family, collaborators, fans. Essentially everyone. No wonder producers don’t want to work with them.

And even before the release of the Michael album they made a huge mistake with the release of This is it: It wasnt his "last song", it wasnt even close to new; it was cowritten by Anka who didnt know it was his song they want to release and just did release it and even the name was wrong

Biblically. I need Dark Lady biblically. I've had the lyrics "dark lady will get what she wants every time" stuck in my head all day long

Just Remember as well. It seriously still hasn't sunk in for me that we're finally hearing these songs lol
It might come out for MJ’s birthday, at least that’s the delusion I have.

I need Adore You and Rocker in full. And someone to actually give a modern look to most of those leaks. Just as an experiment.

I've been listening to the second Just Remember snippet a lot lol.

This is it was a perfect beginning to the general public posthumous relations but Michael absolutely fumbled the hardcore fans.

This is it wasn’t unreleased music. It was a good project. I’m talking strictly the unreleased music. They didn’t just fumble the hardcore fans, they fumbled everyone.

We're getting into semantics I guess.

The general public didn't really care about the fake tracks, they just objected to the entire process of posthumous albums as they lately have (not). It didn't have a good reputation thanks to the Tupac Estate among others. And people started talking about MJ's perfectionism because This Is It did such a good job establishing it to the general audience.

Guys like Quincy and Will.I.Am saying it was about the money (While they tried to stake claims to money they were or were not owed) stood out more than "an impersonator on the MJ record". That's what makes it so fascinating, the most glaring forgery in music history is like an asterisk in MJ's overall career.

Basically the Estate have nailed everything but the Music part of the Musician Michael Jackson's posthumous career. Which is what the devoted fan base is gonna care about. But even when they do get it righter (Bad 25, Xscape), it isn't universally acclaimed. Deservedly or not.

There’s a “timeline” where he died during the Pepsi accident in ‘84. There’s another where he overdosed in ‘93 or after he injured his back in ‘99. I often think about how lucky we are that Michael lived ‘til he was 50.
I also think about how differently he would’ve been remembered if he’d died in ‘84 or ‘93

I would be going way off topic for this thread but yeah there's definitely a discussion to be had about MJ and his longevity despite the circumstances.

He was definitely a very strong person who was able to continue despite what was happening. I'm also glad that he had people who stuck by him, of course there were many who didn't but he did have people who helped him continue doing what he wanted to do and supported him in his darkest times.
