The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

All of them would have made great songs, and the beats of Adore You and Innocent Man are wonderfully mature, with only Michael's lead vocals missing.
is the entire Innocent Man overall the same as the leaked snippet? Does the track have any climax changes?

the damage to MJ's legacy outweighs it
Damage has already been done by the Estate.

I don't remember exactly what they said about it. In any case, Water was written after Invincible. They played it because it was written and recorded with Brad Buxer (and possibly Michael Prince). I wasn't convinced by the unfinished song. But I was convinced by Adore You. And Michael's Affirmation was also written over a Brad Buxer/MJ instrumental when Roy from Siegfried and Roy was bitten by a tiger. (the instrumental was created for Invincible and was called "Photographs")
This is interesting especially considering the copyright registration states Neff-U as the sole producer, so if it started out as a Brad Buxer song that's certainly new info.

Thanks for answering! What a joy it must've been to be at that event.

I wonder if "Water" and "H20" started being worked on simultaneously, hence the similar title themes. We don't have the year of creation for "Water" (not officially anyways) besides that it was made after 2006, and for Dark Lady/H20 that it was made in 2008 so there's a certain possibility here depending on the year "Water" was produced.

That’s definitely real. A low quality seminar recording has been going around for a few years now, seems to be sourced from that.
those were apparently old recordings from a listening party at michael prince's home, not seminar recordings

Somebody’s gotta sit down with Brad, MP, and Neff-U and go through the session files to get everything settled, because I’ve heard “Water” was done in the Carolwood sunroom in early 2009 with Neff-U.
Yep it’s honestly exhausting. Damien obviously has the connections. He should do that, and write a long article confirming details on each of the BB, MP, Neff-U post invincible tracks.

An in depth interview with John van Nest & Brian Malouf regarding their pre-Thriller / post-Thriller work would also clarify uncertainties. We have barely tangible infomartion about those periods. I assume, many song titles recited at the 1993 deposition were worked with John or Brian.

This is where I wish that MJ Podcast that got to interview John Barnes really would've went in-depth with the unreleased songs. I would've just had a list ready and mention every single one and ask for the details.

I think Barnes was working on something that would go into detail about songs created for and with Michael because he was vague about certain things and wouldn't want to discuss them until a later time.

The leaker said that they record the songs with their phone and convert it to mono. So he might have the full CDQ.
Also can you describe a little bit the structure of the songs you've heard? That will give us a very helpful insight on the tracks.
They are both recordings of recordings of calls with collectors. There are no full songs in the hands of anyone, it’s kids misleading others to boost their ego.

I confronted one of these kids two days ago after they flexed having tomboy in a chat, pressuring them in a vc to play the song since “they had it”. they instead played 2 seconds of “i was the loser” that I know originated from a recording of a collector from 2 years ago to dissuade me.

They are attention seekers.

That would make sense.

They did ask John about Buffalo Bill. And when they interviewed Matt Forger, they did ask about Tomboy. So I appreciated that. Just wish they could've pressed both of them more.

Do you know all the snippets that are circulating right now? Would help us be aware whether it's coming from someone legit or some wanna-be collector/leaker when they inevitably get out.

I really apprecitate Bill Bottrell's communication with fans. The amount of details he's shared over the past year is gold. I'm looking forward for his Victory notes.

So wait, the alleged snippet of Crack Kills, is that real? And was the clapping edited in to make it seems like a ITSWMJ Seminar?

Has anybody read Brice Najar's new book "From Thriller to Bad"?
Didn't even know this book existed. I had to look it up. Here's what I found:

The foreword is written by Brad Buxer (keyboardist and composer) and here the list on the interviews you will read in this book: Brian Banks (who played synthesizers on “Thriller”), Dean Parks (Guitarist), John Bettis (“Human Nature” co-writer), Steven Ray (Production assistant for “Thriller”), Tom Bahler (Songwriter “She’s Out Of My Life”), Rory Kaplan (Keyboardist), Vincent Paterson (Choreographer), David Williams (Guitarist), Taj Jackson, Steve Porcaro (“Human Nature”), Michael Lehmann Boddicker (Film Composer for “The Wiz”), Matt Forger (Sound Engineer) and Christopher Currell (Synclavier on BAD Tour).

If your interest is only about unreleased music, I think the only name listed there would probably be Matt Forger. But I doubt this book would touch on anything like that.
