Heal The World is untouchableSPYHO fits Dangerous in my opinion as well as She Got It…..HTW, GTS and KTF could’ve been kept for charity singles

Imagine how many pre bad era songs were remixed by himBill Bottrell:
"Sunset Driver" is an example of a multitrack tape MJ asked me to mix. As such, I don't remember the song.
"Bad Girl" could have been like that. .
The majority of songs name checked during the 1993 deposition?Imagine how many pre bad era songs were remixed by him
Have only seen you post about this on here man, and there's been no evidence at all.
Idk, I think it ain't a final mix but other than some minor mixing/eqing I think it's close to it.Ok, interesting. I wonder if the leaked version we have is the same version that was going to be on the album.
Also, very odd Hot Street was left off Thriller 40. Obviously being held back for Thriller 50.
Nite Line is a song I'd put in the "fine" category, along with "Got The Hots". It's never been a song I've sought out to listen on it's own, unlike say Hot Street or She's Trouble.Nite Line isn’t very strong but I would’ve placed it as a b-side to something like Billie Jean.
Would’ve been released for the clocks but that deal fell through in 1983
BOTDF could have easily replaced SDRMW without feeling out of place or messing up with the the flow they were going for. It’s a teddy groove, New Jack Swing, hard hitting, uptempo and just overall a much better song than SDMW in every sense.People say this all the time but the thing is, none of them fit the sound Dangerous ended up going for.
Most people like to claim that Dangerous has no standard sound and thus it's all over the place, so it wouldn't really matter, but I disagree... it clearly does have an established sound per side of the record, the first half being pure Teddy Riley stuff and the other half being MJ's normal team (Bruce, Bill, Brad, etc), there's some exceptions on each side (Jam being on the first half or Dangerous being at the end) but there's clearly a pattern.
None of the Bryan Loren tracks would have fit the sound of the album, they sounded dated even for their time, and Teddy's stuff was also dated even back then, so imagine!
As for For All Time, I do think it would have fit nicely in the 2nd half of the record, perhaps in place of something like Gone Too Soon, I would say Heal The World but unfortunately that one has to stay no matter what lol
SPYHO would have also fit nicely in there, but maybe the record would have turned into something more ballad-oriented.
Which coincidentally (?) were the first 4 unreleased songs that seemed to be doing the rounds when the Internet got going.Hot Street
Nightline
Carousel
She’s Trouble
I don’t think “Hot Street” would’ve been reworked for the new album seeing that it wasn’t listed on any of the to-do lists. This could’ve just been one of those situations where they register a previously unregistered song for legal purposes, just like the estate did when they went through MJ’s archives after his death.Idk, I think it ain't a final mix but other than some minor mixing/eqing I think it's close to it.
Funny thing, Epic/Sony had proposed to add Hot Street and other left overs on to T25, but MJ rejected the idea.
FFW a year and a half later, MJ meets with Rod Temperton and guess what? Shortly after this Rod's registered and deposited a copy of Hot Street w/ US Copyright Office.
Most likely, HS would have been one of the planned standalone single releases while Michael would perform in London.

BOTDF wasn't finished by the time Dangerous came out, it's as simple as that lolBOTDF could have easily replaced SDRMW without feeling out of place or messing up with the the flow they were going for. I also believe that Gone Too Soon should have been replaced with Someone Put Your hand Out.
Why should it have been reworked? It was already finished for Thriller.I don’t think “Hot Street” would’ve been reworked for the new album
That's really interesting. I wonder if MJ was actually considering it.FFW a year and a half later, MJ meets with Rod Temperton and guess what? Shortly after this Rod's registered and deposited a copy of Hot Street w/ US Copyright Office.

I assume so, since it says "Michael Jackson - unpublished single".That's really interesting. I wonder if MJ was actually considering it.
50 year old MJ would have to re-record the vocals from when he was in his mid-20s, not to mention that musically it would need to be spruced up to keep up with music in the 2009s. Furthermore, plenty of tracks were registered throughout the 2000s—I don’t think the designation of “unpublished single” means anything. Why should it have been reworked? It was already finished for Thriller.
Why? He had no problem with his vocals on For All Time - which was recorded only seven, eigth years later than HS.50 year old MJ would have to re-record the vocals from when he was in his mid-20s,
Would've been interesting if MJ decided to include HotStreet on Thriller25 and let Will.i.Am do a remix on it. Actually, that was a golden opportunity to release it.Hot Street I'd say was strong enough to be "Contemporized" in 09. I could imagine him letting Neff-U or maybe Teddy do something with it.
I don't know for others but I've always liked "got the hots" , but I agree with "nite line"Nite Line is a song I'd put in the "fine" category, along with "Got The Hots". It's never been a song I've sought out to listen on it's own, unlike say Hot Street or She's Trouble.
I hadn't even thought of that. What a world.Would've been interesting if MJ decided to include HotStreet on Thriller25 and let Will.i.Am do a remix on it. Actually, that was a golden opportunity to release it.
Wasn’t it though? I remember seeing a video from the dangerous session where they’re arranging the tracklist, and both BOTDF and SPYHO was part of the tracklist.BOTDF wasn't finished by the time Dangerous came out, it's as simple as that lol
All vocals were completely re-recorded and additional instruments were overdubbedWasn’t it though? I remember seeing a video from the dangerous session where they’re arranging the tracklist, and both BOTDF and SPYHO was part of the tracklist.
If I recall correctly BOTDF 96 was not re-recorded or even re-produced (as in teddy “modernizing” it). They wanted it to stay as close to how it was done during the dangerous sessions.
I thought it was just additional vocals were recorded? All vocals were completely re-recorded and additional instruments were overdubbed
They were likely creating a track list with the songs presented at the timeWasn’t it though? I remember seeing a video from the dangerous session where they’re arranging the tracklist, and both BOTDF and SPYHO was part of the tracklist.

Yeah, they've did it multiple times, as discussed here. They were likely creating a track list with the songs presented at the time
“For All Time” was a bonus track on T25, not a standalone single or part of a new album. I doubt he was preparing another Thriller reissue when the last one was a year old, so there’s no real opportunity for this one to have made it out. Why? He had no problem with his vocals on For All Time - which was recorded only seven, eigth years later than HS.
Yes.What's the origin of "Free" again?
Was that a one and done track?
There's only one date on Bill's calender. Could have been previously worked with others or it's from much earlier times - like it's the case with Sunset Driver or Bad Girl. What's the origin of "Free" again?

Not saying I don’t believe you, but when was it ever stated/confirmed that MJ re-recorded all his vocals? I’ve heard about additional vocal overdubs though. All vocals were completely re-recorded and additional instruments were overdubbed
