"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

That poster looks like a recreation of number ones when they had all the different silhouettes from the different eras. Why isn't the post Quincy eras represented is beyond me.
It's because the film doesn't include them.

Play with the 80s aesthetic, do something cool, use an iconic silhouette or something, but not this. Ain't no way I'm convincing my friends to come see the movie with me, that poster gives off bland impersonator cringe vibes 😭

Delayed multiple times, nearly two films, then one film, reshoot after reshoot.. and that's the poster they come up with in that time. I just feel so impossibly let down for Michael.

If the poster sucks, at least the trailer gives me some hope. First impression: it looks interesting, and I've got no issue with Jaafar's look. He resembles Mike enough, and that's fine, it's impossible to be a perfect copy anyway.

I want to enjoy it more, but part of me keeps associating it with those side projects like that Lifetime biopic, can't help but feel a bit of the cringe effect there 😭

Also, that Branca shot was so memey and completely unnecessary.

That John Branca close-up sent me, those suckers had to shoehorn that in HAHAHAAAAAA

Jaafar's impression is so spot on! Definitely didn't disappoint there, gotta be the best MJ impression I've heard and it sounds nothing forced. I can see the potential with his "Thriller" and "Bad" era looks with the glimpses we've got but "Off The Wall" looks nothing like Michael, unless they do some editing on post-production it's gonna throw me off the immersion a lot during that era of the movie.

The green screen on the DSTYGE video clip looks weird, but again, I hope it's all improved during post-production.

Nothing beyond "Bad", I guess that confirms the rumors of when the movie ends.
