Do you think you could write a song good enough for MJ? One that would suit his voice and style.

If so, I would love to hear your lyrics, Ideas, titles or thoughts on this thread. 🎶

Love this thread (and your pic profile), this is a beautiful idea!

I think we could make a dramatic song a bit like Little Susie and We've Had Enough where we talk about him, his fights, his sorrows, his hope and his memory.

I tried to write lyrics, here's what it gives (keep in mind that english is not my maternal language):

He was too sweet to beat
But I swear, he fight it
One thing to understand
Is for earth he stand
Philanthropist and humanist
The world takes him for a beast
No one mother wishes for his son
To endure like Michael Jackson.

No not on your nelly mate lol

I'm not clever enough for any of that. But we have some wonderful creativity here on the forum so I am sure many can (y)

@Wren13 hi welcome ( or welcome back ) to MJJC and congrats on a great thread idea.

My song would be called Salvation. Over the years, the love and affection that he had gotten from his fans were like his salvation even in his darkest moments of his days, their love for him kept rising on.

Throughout the years, we have been near and dear to you,
Even when you were feeling sad, and feeling so very blue
Through the ups and downs, our love for you was still around,
And in moments of despair, we still treated you with the utmost care
Even though you're gone and not coming back,
Just remember that we still have your back,
Our fight and love for you is still going strong,
We are not done yet because the battle has just begun....
We are your salvation! Your mercy and your unity,
We still love you regardless, even in your times of darkness,
Salvation! From below and above,
We helped you off the ground and into the sky like a purified dove

Well, that's all I have. Thanks 🙏

WOW! ChocolateDrop,
Just remember that we still have your back - This is so true for all of us.

My favourite songs of his are Man in the Mirror and Human Nature, I'm quite old school :) But it's so hard to choose and I enjoy different songs on different days.

Here is my offering - Not written for him to sing, but a song to him.

NEVER FAR AWAY

(Tribute to Michael Jackson)

Verse 1
I still hear you in the quiet,
Like a whisper through the room.
Every note turns back the pages,
Every rhythm feels like truth.
You were lightning in the shadows,
You were courage on a stage.
And even now I feel the heartbeat
In the songs you gave.

Pre-Chorus
I grew older, but the moment never changed,
Your voice always a lantern in the rain.

Chorus
You’re never far away,
Not when the music starts to play.
I feel you in the echoes,
In the dance my soul still knows.
No matter where I go,
Your light will always stay.
You touch my world, you save my days,
You’re never far away.

Hi, ChocolateDrop.

Do you mind me asking if you have a favorite MJ song and if so why?

I use to repeat the lyrics from man in the mirror to myself all the time during a period that I was being bullied at school as a teanager. Yes i'm that old 🤣. Those lyrics really helped me keep going and stay strong.

Hey there Wren, 😊👋

I really don't have a favorite song, but, if I do, then it would have to be You Rock My World due to the fact that after a long week, it's so tiring at times to do a lot around in the house, plus, with my Dad going through Pancreatic Cancer, it can be stressful but the minute when Friday Night comes, then that's when I put the song on 😁😁😁 plus, I like Dirty Diana especially whenever I get angry at times when I feel no one understands me and at times, I will also crash out too.

Hi, ChocolateDrop,

Thanks for being so honest. Yes I find music can really help with housework too. So sorry for your Dad, and tough times for you. I listen to Dirty Diana more than You Rock My World, don't know why though:)

A Poem -

The Strength of MJ

They tried to break him with the weight of the crown,
Built him a throne, then tried to tear it down.
Every move watched, every breath confined,
Yet he still danced ahead of his time.

They saw the glitter, the glove, the spin,
But missed the steel buried deep within.
A gentle voice, a fighter’s core,
He stood his ground and asked for more.

When the noise grew loud and the world turned cold,
He answered with rhythm, fierce and bold.
Pain in his steps, truth in his song,
He showed us where the hurt belonged.

He sang for children, for love, for change,
For a world less cruel, less strange.
While others pointed, judged, and guessed,
He carried hope inside his chest.

Strength is not shouting, it’s standing tall,
When the spotlight burns and you still don’t fall.
It’s choosing grace when anger calls,
It’s building bridges, breaking walls.

So when they ask what made him strong,
It wasn’t fame, or right or wrong.
It was the heart he never hid,
The courage to stay soft, like a kid.

Legends fade, but truth stays near,
In every beat, he’s still right here.
Not made of armour, not made of stone,
But strength enough to stand alone.
