ima just vent a frustration here:
imagine being toei animation. your biggest property, dragon ball, can sell literally anything. slap goku on absolutely anything and it will sell. now about two years ago you beautifully (albeit without color correction) remastered the entire collection of dragon ball films in 4K and released them on blu ray. now you have two options:
A) do the same for the series
B) use ai to upscale the series and throw them on streaming services.
which do you think they picked?
**** these people man. i have little faith in the estate too, given the bullshit we’re getting from them for the dangerous films.
