They could upscale the cgi shots. Not all videos have many of them. It wouldn't be bad if that small part in Remember the Time was in lower quality than the rest.
Trash guy is a strong word; if any of his side of the story is true, he got screwed over financially. I do see the problematic nature of holding onto history, particularly Black history, but I'd like to think he just wants to at least break even from his ordeals. Wish we could hear the Jacksons' side of the story.

Everything since Dangerous has their masters on tape, Bad era films were fully edited and mastered on film except Another Part of Me, Man In The Mirror and Liberian Girl. Ghosts has a film print, but it is a copy of a tape source (or at least it looks better than 480p but worse than 1080p, maybe I‘ll take the time to do a restoration of it some time)

I thought the copy from the official YouTube channel was from an HDCam tape.
They could post it on YouTube, since it was released on the HIStory DVD, just like Motown 25.
Technically it was reused in the promo for One Night Only first.
