"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Fans are making this movie feel so forced and are actually killing all the hype. Please, STOP saying it’s going to be a generational movie or the greatest of all time! Just calm down, oh my Goodness
In the same breath, people shouldn't be totally dismissing it because it's a biopic and not some weird gritty exposè.

It’s driving me insane!!!

This is a bog standard Hollywood biopic, not The Godfather.

Breaking records, multiple Oscar wins etc ….just shut up!!!!!
I really love the movie so far but the fans online are literally screaming with foam at the mouth, saying it’s going to be one of the most legendary movies of all time and that Michael mania will start again. And don’t even get me started on how they swear on their mamas and ancestors souls that it’s going to win gazillions of oscars

Ngl... its cool but that wig during the otw & thriller era going back & forth was killing me! THE HAIR has to be the biggest disappointment. I feel like it's not much going to be here. Im thinking a 4k version of an American dream is what we're getting. I also noticed that Jackie is not on the victory tour. (Finally got that right) but i wonder if they address the real truth as well why he wasn't there & how Michael felt about it. I think the j5 bit won't be as long. Imho it looks... idk rushed...too polished, lots of cgi.... ITS THE HAIR for me but overall...i don't wanna judge until i see the final film. I can try to get past it lol. Other than that I'm still excited. Gonna watch it a few more times. My girl keeps asking why i keep watching it. Told her she doesn't understand this universe lol. (also don't like how much Marlon is bigger than Michael) he didn't tower him like that!

I think Jafaar’s acting is done really well. The clothes look good on him and he does great with the voice. The makeup in some scenes could be better, it doesn’t seem to be uniform. Idk who they casted for Joe but they did spectacular on that imo. I wish they hadn’t done cgi for the monkey.
I’m sorta only now realizing that they plan to go all the way to Bad in like, what, 2 hours? The Jackson’s an American Dream or whatever those films are is 4 hours total and it ends at I think before the victory tour (I haven’t seen it yet it’s on my todo list). I’m curious to see what they will be glazing over and such. Michael had issues during that time too, they just weren’t near as public, I’m wondering if they will cover any of that at all. And what about other issues such as his eating disorder, lupus, the pain he had from the Pepsi incident, maybe give a feel for what was going on his mind once the vitiligo was popping up.
Overall I think Jaafar and the actors are doing good, I’m just waiting to see what they gonna actually do in the film.

The movie should focus on establishing MJ as a multigenerational talent and the focus should be on MJs career highs and his successes. That is the original point why we love MJ after all. To show him go from a child superstar to the biggest adult superstar of all time is really essential, and a lotta fans are taking it for granted.

Would we like an expose, sure. That would've always been better served in a documentary though...

on a first look it looks like it leans heavy on the whimsical/Peter Pan persona of Michael with a touch of BohRap narrative of going solo from the band and that causing friction. I get what Paris was trying to say now with a movie being a fantasy version of her father. Don't get me wrong, Michael definitely had a whimsical and cheesy part of himself, 1000% but that's NOT all he was. and the fact that the cast looks so "insulated" seems like we aren't seeing a lot besides the family characters, a few Motown people, John Branca and Quincy Jones doesn't help expanding Michael's character. I like the magic vibe of the movie but this time, I was hoping to see something different and most importantly hear something different besides Billie Jean and other Thriller hits.

also, watching this trailer makes me really miss Michael with an ache. He, and his life, were truly irrepetible and inimitable.

I hope Sony/Epic, and especially the estate, are smart enough to capitalize on hype this biopic will generate.

Open the vault, release a GH of TJ with previously unheard songs, along with a concert on blu-ray. Follow this with BWT footage next year for its 40th anniversary.
I think releasing this Victory Tour show should be the priority if possible:

Oh, a friend pointed out that we see Wembly. Michael owned Neverland at that point, why didn’t we get to see it? Just an observation, no hate
Also, is there gonna be an actor for Prince and James Brown? I would love to see that seen in the film. Just for fun lol

I love bringing it up every chance i can, Tohme Tohme was the one who proposed the Cirque DE Soleil, Musical, Biopic trio. The executors are basically following his playbook.

Really makes me curious what will come next after this.
Well , What's next in his blueprint? 👀

Criminal how absolutely no one is talking about the soundtrack, that last bit with "Billie Jean" just slaps. It was giving Immortal vibes there. It'll be so cool if there's a part of the soundtrack that includes orchestral covers of each of MJ's songs they play in the movie.

Same with songs that they'll potentially play for Part 2, there was a fake leak of a cover of "Stranger In Moscow" that was being shared a while back and it sounded incredible.

That's one of the reasons why I totally understand Paris and was miffed at the way some fans shunned her. I criticized the way she contested the movie - by insinuating something is off with the story, but she's right in the sense that Branca's hands are all over this in a self serving way. I am super excited for the biopic, of course, but it doesn't feel right in the back of my mind.

The Tohme Tohme part is super interesting. Tohme Tohme = AEG = Branca. It really was a takeover
