The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

EWTBAMS is a real title, and a song Michael was working on before his death. It was on his handwritten to do list.

The instrumental fits the era 100%. It sounds exactly like stuff from the late 00s.

Sorry, but that's not correct at all. TONS of unreleased Akon songs have leaked online over the years, and they still surface regularly.

I’m not saying this one is definitely real, but it’s plausible. If it isn’t one of the songs he and MJ collaborated on, maybe it’s just a random Akon demo from around that period that got tagged as MJ to attract more attention?

Also, what makes T.S. sound AI-generated to you? Yesterday you said it wasn’t AI and was an early vocal take, so which is it?

Yes, occam’s razor points toward them all being fake, but I’m honestly not convinced by your argument.
Something I always find it funny these fake leaks for known titles, alot of them contain the known leaked lyrics or the song title lol

Don't take this the wrong way, but maybe you think that because you want it to be true?

A YouTube account with only three uploads already raises questions. “T.S.” is clearly AI, and “Everybody Wants To Be A Movie Star” is completely off. starting with the instrumental itself.

What do “Stay” and “EWTBAMS” actually have in common? They sound like made-up song titles generated from an AI prompt, with only the supposed chorus being sung. On top of that, they’re recorded through speakers, which conveniently masks the very characteristics of AI-generated audio, especially the reverb and artifacts.

What I will give “Stay” is that it does sound like Akon. But I’m a big Akon fan, and that’s exactly why it immediately struck me as fake.

Also, why would some random person have an unreleased Akon recording in the first place? Akon has always been pretty secretive about unreleased material, including song titles and demos.
Of course I wish it's true (Stay)😃

Stay is what stood out to me, much more than the other 2. I agree that they are more likely to be fake.

However, just because an account uploads fake, doesn't have to mean they can't post real stuff. We have seen that time after time, so that itself either doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I still disagree with Stay sounding AI. You say you're a big fan of Akon. I am avide listener as well - the music sounds extremely similar to the 07/08 era. The voice doesn't scream any AI. Quality is bad as I mentioned but still. Drawing a conclusion still isn't fair IMO.

MJs BG vocals sound again really a lot like HMH BG vocals, and that "sound" we only hear on WBSS 08 and HMH. If fake, the creator might have used these 2 for generating.

Who knows why a random would have said snippet. Just like 100s of snippets throughout the years have been leaked. Source, someone who got shared a snippet, someone who recorded it illegally, etc. It's still not an argument in this environment.

Anyway, since we have so little information on Akons music and ideas for/with Michael, we won't get any closer to knowing more about Stay for now

I just want more good songs tbh. Don't really care if they're mumble. I think World Of Candy is kinda shit and it has actual full lyrics lol while In The Back is roughly 50% mumble and I think that one's a genuine masterpiece.
We really just had Changes revealed and he basically just says one thing.

Adore You, basically perfect as is with only background vocals. I honestly can’t fathom it being more complete.

Faces only has a spoken intro and I dig that one a ton too.

Like anyone complaining about songs without vocals are just kinda obnoxious. Music is music, doesn’t matter the words.

A lot of the instrumental leaks from earlier in the year are repetitive and forgettable (to me, at least), that's surely enough reason to criticise them?

It's scary, but I'm pretty confident those YouTube snippets are Sonauto AI. It can generate full tracks in seconds that sound almost believable. I tried running a test with MJ and Ne-Yo and it took less than 30 seconds to generate a full song with their vocals, harmonies, and ad libs

Y’all should be wanting full songs not mumbling songs
Well I understand that people prefer to hear finished songs, but when you delve into the world of unreleased songs, you should expect to discover MJ's creative process on demos, instrumentals, rather than a finished work...
Because if you expect something finished, and then you find that the song i just a demo with mumbling, oc you'll be disappointed.
But if you listen to the unfinished song as a demonstration of the creative process, it immediately becomes more enjoyable.

In fact, that's what I would say to the Estate, which states on its website that it doesn't want to release new demos "because they aren't good enough to properly represent MJ." On the contrary, they show his genius, his work, the way he constructs the melody, then the lyrics that come to him here and there, filling in the gaps with mumbling...

It's so funny they said this then dropped The Toy lmao

I understand the complaint to a degree I was just making the point of songs not having to have full vocals with lyrics to be bangers

The crazy thing about this technology is that literally nobody needs it and it only benefits wealthy music execs to avoid paying actual musicians

i need my dark lady mumbles, i’m more here for the composition and melody and it sounds so late 2000’s in a good way. I know there are like 10 sensical words in the song but it’s still one of my grails.

We need it asap!
And the fact that it sounds late 2000s is very interesting!
I'm ready to contribute if there's ever a fundraiser to buy it, like GYWOOM

Some parts are crazy while others are awful. Doesn't seem like a middle line somewhere.

Well I just said “kinda obnoxious “, it’s not a monolith of being obnoxious. Which is to say, it’s not a sin to criticize them, and you’re not a bad person for it. They’re just ain’t much left in the vault is all.

I'm not big on his later years as there's quite literally nothing to listen or sing along to with those demos and I have no want or need to listen to an instrumental but that's just me.

Remember What I Told You is the only song (so far) that get's played for me, and I'm not expecting any other of the barely touched unreleased demos to rock my world.

I hope to be proven wrong!

While AI is getting better still sounds nothing like MJ. It’s difficult to replicate the feeling/soul in a song. My opinion of course.

I can understand gatekeeping something like Tomboy, but Dark Lady isnt even that good
