The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Maybe this was already discussed when it came out, but it's quite interesting how Thriller 40 features a different version of Carousel. I wonder what happened there since Thriller 25s version sounds much clearer.

I’ve heard a CDQ version of “GYWOOM,” and purely from an audio-quality standpoint, it was the best sounding Invincible era track I’ve ever heard. Infinitely better than the Invincible album itself, which is compressed to death. The instrument separation was excellent and the vocals sounded fantastic. Like songs from the History era.

I don’t know if it’s the same version currently circulating or even the exact mix Korgnex has, but it sounded great. I wish every Invincible track was available in that kind of quality. Maybe one day. Hopefully MoFi will remix the album at some point...

Burning onto a CD won't tamper with the audio so definitely not that. Could be intentionally tampered by someone I guess but every source of that song I've heard sounds the same.

This is interesting! The one I heard was very clear and excellent quality as you said but it's so loud and and some of the more subtle instruments felt like they were muddied together. Particularly the panning drills and snare made the experience almost irritating unless the volume was turned down lol. I am curious now which versions are which

It could if the output settings are put to lower quality, but wouldn't expect any audio engineer to do that for MJs music.

Agreed with Alec, we need a better mixed Vince album, including the outtakes 😌

The Casio version of Monster is actually pretty catchy, I think MJ would’ve genuinely liked it. It’s derivative of his own version tho…
 
You have to really wonder why the Asstate aren't cooking up ANY kind of music release, as in at least 1 unheard/unreleased song.

MJ is seriously trending everywhere now, even in real life. Announce something. A CD, a single, anything. It's bizarre as per usual.

That Human Nature music video didn't do much justice to say the least, and neither did the Jafaar Michael CD cover biopic soundtrack release

It charted very high around the world though, so it served it's purpose - and that was with Number Ones and The Essential being streamed in massive numbers at the same time.

The Human Nature video should be deleted.

Carousel is such a good song. I still play Sembello's version from time to time

I actually was just thinking about this earlier. MJ is about to enter the top 10 on ALL spotify artists in monthly listeners which is beyond fuckin like any sort of expectations I had. It's absolutely insane to see an artist who's been dead for nearly 2 decades to have this kind of pull and be dunking on current artists like Ariana, Kendrick, Billie, etc. Like I seriously can't put into words how impressive and insane that is and they are of course seeing this and doing what they do best, nothing

Jafaar as a feat? On Dream Away?

We are not trying to make Jafaar some new MJ or any ounce of replacement... Bad idea in my opinion. Will it sell? Of course. But not everything is about the numbers.
 
For any other estate I would say it's weird they don't have at least one song coming out but it is the MJ estate and they've said they're focusing on the movie and clearly aren't all that interested in the music side.

Him as a feature. Jaafar is better off setting his own trail and cutting the immediate tie to Michael.

Dream Away should be released as a bonus on Victory but without beating a dead horse, it's impossible.

Avoid Reddit MJ, tons of people there obsessing over Jafaar as in seemingly trying to make him replace Michael. It's disturbing, but I have to assume a lot of them atrlre younger fans, and perhaps teenage girls who fancy Jafaar's charm

People will eventually find their way to unreleased songs and listen to songs like Hot Street and the estate won’t get a penny. Their loss lol. They might as well release the songs that leak so they get their money, but no, they’re just idiots lol
 
The most likely scenario regarding the handling of unreleased songs is that they'll either release an album (or at least some singles) before Part 2 to maintain hype. Even if they don't want to, they'll be forced to in order to keep the public interested.

And a lousy Human Nature video isn't going to help with that.
