"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Following on from my post in the MJ musical thread, it's clear the reviews for the biopic will be mixed based on hatred for Michael, simple as that.

The musical doesn't cover Pedophilia so I say let's give them it in the movie, if that's what they want, let's have Michael naked for the police integration etc and for them to ask if he has molested children.

It seems that's what these critics want 😡

Has it been confirmed yet if the vocals on the movie will be MJ's (like Bohemian Rhapsody) or it will be Jaafar singing? I really hope they don't mess this up by getting Jaafar to sing it. No offense, he might be a great singer, but you simply can't replace Michael's vocals. That would be a huge mistake.

There hasn't really been any official confirmation either way.

I think they will use outtakes and studio recordings as much as possible like Borap.

I really hope one of the documentary makers on the trials and Michaels innocence (to tell the story and with prove from court documents) can release something to complement the biopic.

A lot of people will raise questions on the credibility of the story told in the biopic (which is ironic due to press and tabloids always neglecting MJs side) and Michaels innocence. People like to talk and make assumptions on things they dont know anything about. So a ready to go documentary released around the same time would be ideal.

It feels like MJ cannot win either way. Looking at the musical reviews they all mention that it doesn't address the allegations yet I've seen a few where they say it does briefly but it's pro MJ, like wtf?

I mean , what do they want exactly? For them to say that Michael did abuse these children?

Even if it is explained clearly that he never, they are still gonna say that it's completely biased towards Michael.

BA, you'll never solve this riddle. It'll be the same with the biopic. Whether the film addresses the allegations or it doesn't, whether it goes into some detail or skates over the surface, they are always going to have a go.

It feels like MJ cannot win either way.
Basically it's this.

You guys are right.

Thats why we need those documentaries which show proof, court documents, etc. People believed that LN bs without any proof and when the biopic comes out a lot of people are going to question MJs innocence, possible creating a new storm of discussions and people refusing to spend time actually researching.

A documentary which shows the trials, the story, which answers the questions people will have and answer them with proof and documents would be very valueable. Its like a preventive measure.

They could bring songs like Scream and Money as an artistic response to accusations.

The man is not even trying and messes up the lyrics but I think he's gonna really nail those MJ vocals.

(It's literally seconds)
It's good real family is doing this for m & not paid actors. I am kind of thinking /wishing Hans Zimmer might be in on this for perhaps the score too, since he did go to the MJ Musical which premiered in London last night. Hey, we have to want good things for this production, right?

..Is Larenz Tate going to be in this ?

Any time I've debated guilters, or just members of the public who are ignorant, they've not understood that the media wanted him to be guilty. It would have been the biggest story in history. Such a finger-licking downfall for them to revel in. It would have been the butt of every joke and the front page of every newspaper. You could print money off of that story. As much as the media likes to build things up, they much, much much prefer to tare them down. Few in the media wanted the redemption of Michael Jackson. They told of his greatness 30 years ago, and now its time for a 'different story'.

I remember in the early 00s, just after Living with Michael Jackson came out, I remember on Australian TV there were random, quickily thrown together shows on Michael, basically celebrating his "declining album sales" and the fact that no one turned up to an auction of his items. It should've surprised few that someone who was the "biggest star of the eighties" wasn't selling quite as well in 2001 but apparently being a living legend and topping the charts for over 30 years by that time just wasnt enough. Oh, Invincible only sold as well as a Christina Aguilera or Usher album? That's it. Man's over! Michael Jackson was held to unrealistic standards that only existed because of the incredible things only he was able to do, and when he no longer met those unrealistic standards he was treated like 'less than' those who didnt even meet the markers he was currently making.
