Have you tried watercolour pencils? I always enjoyed painting with them. You can basically draw with them like you do with "standard" pencils and afterwards you can blend everything with water. That's kinda how I draw on my tablet:

First I draw roughly where the shadows/lights are and afterwards I blend it with a different brush.

Oh my gosh yours is looking incredible! 🤩🤩🤩

I have worked with watercolor pencils before and they ain’t my cup of tea, but they are good for small spaces, like for the teeth I used them. I haven’t used water color in such a long time, never used after like, first grade so this was a new medium. I wasn’t laying the colors the best but its okay for it being a first for basically everything.

Thank you, will post an update later 🤗

Yeah, I find painting in general more complicated than drawing...I only paint when I want to do more expressionistic stuff, but not when I am trying to do detailed, more realistic pictures 😊.
 
I am still working on Ghosts, I promise, but it's such a big project, I needed to do something smaller in-between, I could finish 🙈.

In case you can't read my handwriting (the probability is high 😂):

"boundaries framing our vision
like walls made of black, solid onyx.

I am not much of a writer, but needed to write that down today.
