Drawing Thread

Yesterday we crawled through my mom's basement and I found some old drawings. Will post them when I have time to take pictures of all of them. Michael drawings were amongst them, too. Poor Amy was never finished 😅
 
More old stuff. Mainly from 2010 because I made my "Facharbeit" (whatever that is in english) for the Abitur (A-Levels) about Michael, that's where most of the drawings are from :).

Just did this...love to play around with digital paintings, but the feeling to draw on paper, especially with a pen is something else 🙂

Maybe a bit like typing on a keyboard vs. handwriting ... sometimes it is better to connect to a pen and paper and feel the hand moving. Maybe it is because that is how we first learned to write in school ...

The eye you drew is very lively and almost 3D, especilally the pupil and iris. Love the delicacy of the lower lashes ...

Yes, I have a better feeling for "molding" everything when I draw on paper, don't know how do explain it. Maybe also because the paper gives in to the amount of pressure you put on it.

And in our digital world it's fun to do something analogue as a change. Thank you :)

I will try to upload process pictures.

Plan is to draw every character separately and merge it together in the end, because otherwise my tablet will explode...implode...whatever these things could do.

First step is to draw some basic outlines for orientation (1). When I draw digital, I put the original underneath, it's just much faster... don't sue me 😂. This thing will take so many hours anyways and the quality of the pictures is very poor. I only do that for the very first "orientation" - sketch. For the following steps the original photo is sitting next to my drawing and step 2 is a more detailed sketch.

The shadows of the different characters is different, so this will be a task... that's why I made the "L" and "S" - notes, that's where I want my lights and shadows.

Then I choose the main skin colour (3) and add light and shadows roughly,... more soon (I hope) 🙈.

You have to download it and upload it on Pinterest, for example. I believe we have a separate thread for AI pictures, this one is for drawings/paintings/sketches without AI 🙂

I only know it as an AI-based program, not very familiar with it, sry 🙈. You need to upload it somewhere, I don't know any particular websites for that besides Pinterest 😐
