Stevie on Cheater? Woah, can't really imagine him singing that aggressive on CheaterI still think "Cheater" would've been a great duet with Stevie

I've never thought of it! After re-listening to it, I completely agree with you. It would have been fantastic.BAD is the closest album SOS would've been cohesive on.

You can’t hear Stevie on keys on second verse and belting out “somebody said give up instead on how ya feeeeeeel! One blow to the head is alllll you neeeeeeed! I ain’t taking it ya cheatuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh”Stevie on Cheater? Woah, can't really imagine him singing that aggressive on Cheater
Well, I can force myself to hear it but honestly, I don't think this would elevated the song for the better. Cheater's perfectly fine as it is with solo MJ.You can’t hear Stevie on keys on second verse and belting out “somebody said give up instead on how ya feeeeeeel! One blow to the head is alllll you neeeeeeed! I ain’t taking it ya cheatuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh”
I don't think they would have been together again in '87, Freddie was probably with the other members of Queen recording the album The Miracle. Many consider JGF as the weakest song on the Bad album. It isn't per se a bad song but imo it's clearly out of place on the album.
Had it been replaced with a Freddie version of SoS, imo it would have elevated the album to another level. Kinda being a flawless album where every song could have been released as a single. Opinions?
That wasn't Eddie, it was Billy Idol's guitarist Steve Stevens. Also Stevie had Get It on his album, he wouldn't have had 2 duets with the same personEddie Van Halen on "Dirty Diana".
Terrible. Just Good Friends is a much better song than State of Shock.
Correct, Eddie Van Halen was on "Beat It". Got them mixed up.That wasn't Eddie, it was Billy Idol's guitarist Steve Stevens.
He should've had two, anyway. I don't even know the name of Stevie's album. Also Stevie had Get It on his album, he wouldn't have had 2 duets with the same person

Past around 1970, Stevie rarely had songs on his albums totally written by someone else. Stevie either wrote or co-wrote his songs. So he wouldn't have put Just Good Friends on his record anyway. The song was pitched to Mike or Quincy, not to Stevie. Get It was written by Stevie. Stevie sang or played on songs written by other songwriters if he was participating on other artists albums & he sang covers in concert or on TV shows. He should've had two, anyway.
