Billy Gilman has just posted this reel on Instagram and Facebook:
Facebook
www.facebook.com
He says: "As a former child star, I was asked to perform for Michael Jackson his hit song "Ben" at his 30th anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Shortly thereafter, I was invited to Neverland Ranch for Christmas. And boy, am I glad my parents sat me down and said: 'When Hell freezes over.'"
What do y'all think? It's a bit strange...
If I understand correctly, he says he is *glad* his parents did not let him go... Because he believes Michael to be guilty, right? Why else would he be pleased by that?!
What's the actual point of that reel aside from guilting MJ? Why even make a reel about that and post it today, esp. the day after Janet Jackson's tribute at the AMAs? The use of inversion "am I" instead of "I am" seems to for emphasis.
Now, the caption says: "Child star Billy Gilman recants parents reaction to Michael Jackson Story!" To recant means "to withdraw or repudiate a statement or opinion formerly expressed, especially formally and publicly." What is he "recanting"? Have his parents ever said something about Michael Jackson's Neverland Xmas party? He probably means "recounts" instead of "recants" in the caption.
I consider him a traitor since he was well treated by Michael Jackson and Jackson's team, he publicly called him a friend years ago in 2018, he also performed "Man In the Mirror" on The Voice, and now, he's guilting Jackson out of the blue!
Robson, Safechuck, followed by the Cascios and now Billy Gilman?!!! When will that stop? Someone tell me! When will that slander train be derailed for good?
