Re: Dr Murray Rally

We're told United States Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be in attendance, to show support for the doctor who is accused of killing Michael Jackson.
I don't want to believe this is true.
If it is true, then, without a doublt, there is big corporate money behind Murray flowing into the hands of certain people.

Re: Dr Murray Rally

I dont believe this, but if it is the case then yes, she is a mediawhore and yes, there must be dirty money involved. Anything, anything, anything for money.....

Re: Dr Murray Rally

Don't believe TMZ. I read on another board that she denied (she should have written on her facebook page... I don't have FB so I can't check).

Re: Dr Murray Rally

Everything is so quiet right now. I wonder what they have planned for tomorrow.

Because they are never just standing still, being idle, that much I know.

Patients speak out for Jackson's doctor on eve of license hearing

By Ted Rowlands and Michael Cary, CNNJune 13, 2010 11:05 p.m. EDT

Las Vegas, Nevada (CNN) -- A California judge is slated to hear arguments Monday on a motion to suspend Dr. Conrad Murray's medical license while he faces criminal charges in the death of Michael Jackson.

Meanwhile, patients at Murray's Houston, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada, clinics tell CNN that the cardiologist should keep his license because, they say, he saves lives.

"I had a heart attack 10 years ago and he saved my life," said Gerry Cause, who says he drives a 320-mile round trip for his appointments at Murray's Las Vegas clinic. "He's the most compassionate man. He loves his patients."

"Dr. Murray is a good doctor, a very good doctor," said Ransom Craddock, who says he was among the first of Murray's cardiology patients at his Houston clinic when it opened. "We stand together with him in this community."

They will be paying close attention to a hearing in the case on Monday when a Los Angeles judge will listen to arguments about pulling Murray's medical license in California. If that happens, Murray's attorneys say, Nevada and Texas are likely to follow suit.

"The questions the medical boards have is whether or not they have a doctor on their hands that's a threat to public safety, and he's just not," said Charles Peckham, Murray's civil attorney. "He's a good doctor. He's a benefit to his patients. He's a benefit to public health."

Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter in February for providing Jackson with propofol -- a sleeping agent typically used for sedation during surgeries. According to the Los Angeles Coroner's Office, Jackson died of "propofol intoxication."

A court brief filed on behalf of the California Medical Board states: "the Board has pointed out it is not just his 'prescribing' practices that are in question, but his fundamental judgment and skill as a physician."

But Dennis Hix, another heart surgery patient of Dr. Murray's, told CNN, "It's just a shame what's going on."

"Everybody's innocent until proven guilty. He should be allowed to practice. He's still helping me, and I don't want to see him go nowhere," Hix said.

A contingent of Murray's supporters plan a rally at a Houston church on Monday, and some patients from Las Vegas say they plan to drive to Los Angeles during the trial to counter the Michael Jackson fans who show up at hearings waving signs calling the doctor a killer.

"He's one of the most compassionate people I've ever met. I just can't see him being the person he's painted to be," said J.D. Nicholas, who's not only a patient of Murray's but also a member of the group The Commodores, and who knew Michael Jackson.

"I think he should continue to practice. He takes good care of me. I'm in great health thanks to Dr. Murray."

Re: Patients speak out for Murray

Most of Murray's patients are what we would call the worrking poor..people who either have no medical or they have state aid or something close to it. They can say all they want that Murray is a good doctor...let him kill one of his current patients and we will see how quick THEIR family is to say that he is a quack. Its a different situation when the shoe is on that other foot. HE Killed Michael..he took away..a father of 3 and son to 2 parents ..and a Brother to his siblings. Most of all he was taken away from us...his fans. The patients can say whatever they want to defend Murray...the end results...Michael can never come back.

I so totally agree with you.

That article was too disgusting to be read. I read the first few lines and skipped the rest.

Dr. Conrad Murray Gets a Hallelujah

Dr. Conrad Murray got a bigger show of support in Houston than Michael Jackson got in L.A. today.

Nearly 400 of Dr. Murray's faithfuls showed up this AM at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Acres Homes -- a poor community in Houston, TX -- where Murray does a lot of charity work.

The rally coincided with Murray's court appearance, and it was designed to counter the anti-Murray sentiments outside the L.A. criminal courthouse.

supporting a murderer that's all they are doing.....I promise ..God doesn't like it.

Why does he even have a thread here?

well when I posted the thread..it was court day....and I thought everyone would like to see how ridiculous is was that Murray actually had supports....after all he is the one who took Michael's life..so why wouldn't there be a thread on it?

edit..also I thought it was odd that this congress woman was going to be there standing up for Murray....when she had been at Michael's memorial......I thought it need to be brought to folks attention.

But why would there be? Who cares about what they think. I don't recall seeing an Arvizo support thread during the trail? Why do we even care how ridiculous they sound? We justice for Michael why do we care about what some people who don't know any better think?

No-one here is supporting Murray...it was posted at the time to show the congress woman. Mods can close it for all I care....also the congress womans team put out a statement saying that the rumores were false....so after that there really was no need for the thread.

Well I agree about you posting the story but I was wondering why the thread was changed into stories about support for this guy

it's probaly tainted.

or if it's so poor, probably think they'll get some money by supporting that murderer

either way, the Church is tainted.

I see that huge sign of Murray's face next to the words, "The battle is not yours. It's the Lord's." take that sign and burn it in front of the courthouse.

Like the Lord is on Murray's side.....give me a break. Usually when people start making a big scene like this, showing off their faith in front of media and cameras, being so open about it, it's nothing but a show.

Where was Michael's Church rallys when he was innocent? Michael was a very spiritual person and put all his faith in God, where were the cameras around him to show that?

The way I see it is I think we should know what's going on in that camp to be prepared. Like that situation with the congresswoman. As soon as it was announced the fans voiced their concern and it was solved within an hour. Who knows what would have happened if we didn't say anything. She might have decided to actually go there.

actually 2 thread was merged -first one about the initial TMZ story about the rally going to happen and then what happened at the event.

as the op no longer wants the thread open, and the rally is actually over we can simply close it.
