But do take into account my friends that I didn’t match up the invincible songs with the bad, thriller and off the wall songs… I mean that would not be fair for the poor album!

Like Smooth Criminal vs Blue Gangsta, or Cry vs Man In The Mirror - that would be really interesting comparison. Break of Dawn. Is underrated. Dr. Freeze, honestly, I give him more kudos than R.Kelly, especially nowadays.

Hmm... Tie? But I'll play Heaven Can Wait way more these days.

You Rock My World all day every day. I basically never play ITC, pretty good though it is.

Come on. This is pretty abusive. Of course Earth Song.

You Are My Life I have played way more than Gone Too Soon.

History definitely takes it for me.

I have played both but Smile made me feel genuine emotion multiple times in life. Don't Walk Away is really, really good though. Honestly you could make the case it's the best song on Invincible.

Keep The Faith demolishes Cry. And I actually like Cry quite a bit.

Childhood is easier to go the whole way through. I kinda get lost by the bridge of TLC.

THIS IS SUPER ODD. Whatever Happens though. Remember The Time is great though.

I was wondering, though: You say you “get lost by the bridge of TLC”. Is this specifically in regards to the quality (musically speaking, however subjective that might be) of the bridge? Personally, I would say it is the strongest part of the song.

4 wins for Invincible for me but it's unfair fight (2 albums vs 1). Also best songs on Invincible didn't have a chance because they were put against some of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded (Earth Song, Remember The Time, Jam).

* Although I might have to take those points back again seeing as you nonchalantly excludes the pronoun from the title of Invicible’s sixth track.

When the kids start singing I'm ready to turn it off. The bridge itself is fine but the climax falls short for me. If it was only like Days in Gloucestershire.

Just feels like two random songs pitted against each other?

Yes to the bolded! But the same could be said about all of the above pairings. Which is why I find it impossible to conclude anything about anything from the results of a poll of this sort.

What you would have to do, I think, is to bring together a bunch of songs and then let people vote for them; the song that gets the least votes is eliminated. Rinse and repeat. With the limitations of the technological framing taken into account, I believe that is the best methodology for this kind of thing.
