any bday plans in LA?

i've tried searching online but couldn't find anything. i'm sure there have to be some bar/clubs that will do a tribute, i think it would be a lot of fun to go
 
yea, i really want to get together with people and celebrate mike. hopefully i don't have to drive to vegas.... hope something in LA comes up soon!
 
i'm gonna check out next week's edition of LA weekly, i'm hoping i might find something in there

there is gonna be a film called the "jackson 5 in africa" shown tomorrow downtown

I heard on the radio this morning that Blue Moon Club in North Hollywood is doing a tribute on Saturday. MJ impersonator 'Scorpion' will be performing as well.
 
I dont think LA wants to celebrate. It is too sad to go anyway. I prefer stay home and play his music..
 
I've been listening to him everyday and all day. I can't stop, i'd like to be with people who love him just as much as i do, today :)
 
i hope you guys were able to find something. unfortunately, no luck for me. i didn't end up doing anything. i was really disappointed. i wish we had something like the park gathering in NY. i dunno, are there just not that many of us out here in LA? that doesn't seem to make sense. maybe the few of us on here should plan something in the future..?
 
yea, lets definitely plan something in the future.

i celebrated with my family, in the day we had a huge water balloon and super soaker fight. the weather was perfect of course. later a bunch of us gathered at my cousins house, we baked a cake, picked up KFC, and did the candle lighting while playing "cry". it was wonderful and we ended it with a cake fight! next time we gotta get together, would have loved to invite you!
