Any Fan Meet Up's In NY?

Are there any meet up's happening in NYC? I've only been to one so far and that was around two weeks ago. Anything else happening or anyone interested in holding one? I especially hope that there's something done for MJ's Birthday out here.
 
I'm in NY and I'd love to do something for MJ's bday. The only thing I know of so far is this...

These folks are trying to organize a Thriller dance. I think I got an e-mail saying they got a permit in central park to hold it the day after his bday and they were looking for folks to spread the word and also invited the guinnes book of world records to come as well.

But yeah I'd be down for doing something.... I think it would be nice...

I'm from NY too...would be nice to do things in Michael's memory all the time...
 
If I see anything closer to his bday I'll post it here, and perhaps we can all meetup or something. My hope is that there's a big dance party or something with MJ music all night long! That would be awesome.
 
I'm going to be in NYC for Michael's birthday and so on, so I'll probably hit up Central Park on the 30th to see this Thriller Dance thing and head to the apollo on his birthday.

let me know if anything boss is happening. i spy a lot of nyc'ers on these boards.

chamone girl that's what i'm sayin! :lol: and then 25 dollars? you just know somewhere, some dude's going to roll up and blast some mjj from his beatbox and that party will beat theirs. mark ronson is there so it's going to be a bunch of hipsters congratulating themselves anyway.

Yeah for sure i'm going to the apollo on MJ's b-day. I know they'll be doing something for him there, but other than that I don't know what i'm doing.

It's quite a trip to the city from Buffalo.

$25? Beh. How impersonal. I'd rather just buy a couple of super soakers and chase some people around...it's how he would have wanted it. :D

Lol, yes it is! Come on now, I know there are more NY'ers, there has to be! I was at the Apollo after MJ passed and there were a lot of people, thousands, but I guess those MJ fans don't post at this board :p. Only thing I'm hearing of that's official is that tribute concert at Nokia Theater with Q-Tip, but it's like $25. I'd spend the money, it's not that much, but I just want to make sure it's worth it.

But yeah if anyone hears about anything better or any MJ tributes going on for his B-day let me know please!
 
yea im from NY too, i live in westchester county near the bronx so i could def make it to the city, i was thinkin the same thing like maybe getting a group of people and blastin mj music in timesquare,union square or at the apollo, i would be down!! :)

I'm in New York City on his birthday, wouldn't mind meeting a few of you. I wouldn't be able to stay long though because I know my brother would wanna know where I am. :)

I'm in Jersey, and it's about 2 hours away for me, but let me know what you guys are doing and I might make the trip!
