Gaz .. All AOL and ATT emails block us from responding
That is why I had to change my email awhile back.

MANY members are requesting membership or help logging in
but we cant respond to help set up their accounts. Our replies bounce back.

Is it possiible to add the following information to our Reg page
http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/register.php

Please do not use ATT or AOL email adresses to register they are blocked
You can use other addresses but we can't guarantee so we prefer Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail

Thanks

With your permission I woudl like to post the following as a sticky in the News forum
to entice our MJ fan guest and lurkers to join the board

I will use member service account
How To Register an Account and Join MJJC
Due to spam bots and fake accounts we are not accepting automatic registration to MJJC at this time.

If you are a genuine fan of Michael Jackson and wish join the The Michael Jackson Community
please email us at memberservice@mjjcommunity.com requesting membership.

Please do not use ATT or AOL email adresses to register they are blocked

Will do, but we also need to look into how to get us unblock and why are we blocked, if someone can research into the reasons let me know here.

Thanks

we are blocked for spam .. reason probably members no longer active who recieve notices to subscribed threads, birthday messages ect have reported for spam rather then opt out of the mailing list .. do we have an unsubscribe link on mails that go out so they can opt out from mailing list. If we cant make it auto remove - it could send a unsubscribe message to memberservice and we can set the account manually not to recieve emails ..

To unsubscribe from this mailing list please reply to this mail with Unsubscribe in the Title
Just a thought

I think there is a form (reply) .. to try and remove the block ..

Ill look further into it .. maybe some more info on vbulletin

Ill just post whatever I can find below and maybe we can sort it out.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

maxswtldy@aol.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host mailin-02.mx.aol.com [64.12.90.65]: 421 4.7.1 :
(DNS:NR) http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/421dnsnr.html
The link above show a AOL error #421
you might have to paste that link in browswer window.. vlink is messing with it

421 RLY:CH

Basically it was due to us sending out newsletters in the past, however we have not done this for a very long time.

What we need are the steps to undo the blocking.

I found this for ATT and is wasnt easy <!-- end ad banner -->
<!-- MEMBER SERVICE AND TICKER -->

<!-- /MEMBER SERVICE AND TICKER --><!-- TOP NAV -->

Ok well that's lost me. Lol

Me too .. the only one related to us is the 2nd one and I cant understand what they want

So you know Ive sent a support request to aol post master to get us unblocked.

ok it now seems its our server config which I have now resolved, we have to wait a few hours for propagation then all should be ok to start.
