Even though Jr and proud members can't use chat, is it available for all to read
If not, can we make it available for all to read so our message are seen by the members - Thanks
 
I took it away as those morons were using it to hate on us at any point we made a decision on something.

Unfortunately I cant set it to read only, its either use or not.
 
Ok thanks Gaz_ So only club members can post and read what we promote or post in chat.

I certainly understand your reason as I was caught up in the middle of all that mess.

The reason I thought about it was your appeal for moderators and members to follow on FB
and the threads I promote on chat can't be seen by the majority of our members.

Is there a way to ban offending individuals members from chat ? that might be another option if its possible.
 
I can remove individuals yes, can you remember who they were.

Probably need to change the announcement of only donaters or delete it

the only ones I can remember certain StellaJackson and Hunterr instigating and escalated the situation on chat. I believe pentum, galactus123 chimed in and arklove but she is a donator and she was more making fun of roler for making such a big deal of it on chat. a lot of members were commenting MjsLovelyOne88, MJ_Rocks My World, Word Smith Sr but they were not really mocking the situation just giving opinions after it was brought up in chat not knowing what was going on in the background with Roler. I cant remember all who were commenting or who said what ?

I really do understand your anger Gaz over that situation _ I was livid and had no way to stop it. ( I was very upset that they were ignoring me. I felt very disrespected. but we need the majority to have access to it. Its a good tool for us to use for promotion and announcements etc .. right now only about 5 donaters even post on it.


I'm going to make a list of a few rules/guidelines to post for chat for you to approve. some members seem to think anything goes there. Also some were misusing it for full blown topical discussions for pages that we had threads for and ignoring posting in the threads at all. Meanwhile The board was dead... and a lot of good information is lost that way. A few guidline would be helpful to us and members. Will help them from getting into trouble and make it run more Smooth , more FUN and effecient for us as intended.

Also is there a way to allow Sr mods to remove someone who abuses the chat. or maybe put a no chat option on profiles in admin control panel if thats possible. It was frustrating not being able to do anything to stop it.


On a side note I like Stellajackson ( I know you dont like him at all ) but he really has changed a lot come a long way and changed his stance on lot of things - He really is very respectful when Ive spoken to him in PM in the past. plus since he personally spoke to John Branca he has softened his stance over the Casico and other issues ... He even defending the estate in the great debate over the Casico songs. but yes he should definitely be banned from chat for his part in instigating that mess on chat.

2. Do not argue with staff in chat. Please comply with any requests.
3. Do not ask why your post was deleted in chat. Pm staff instead
4 No full blown topical discussions on chat. (Take it to the forums)
5 No public complaints against the board in chat. PM Staff to resolve
6. Do not personaly insult or attack MJJC members in the chat.
7 No posting or requesting Downloads links in chat. (use 2000 watts forum)
8 Do not spam, solicite or promote other MJ fans boards in chat
9 No innaproriate language or dissussions in chat ( PG13)
10. Do not post all your messages in CAPS or bold (use it sparingly)
11 Please dont use innaproriate language or dissussions in chat ( PG13)
12. Last but not least, have fun and enjoy your chatting experience on the board

* Any misuse or abuse of the chat box or rules and you will loose access ( 3 strikes you're out)

I will second this. He did change a lot.
