This is something i just thought of, Blood on the Dance Floor had 13 tracks
  1. Blood on the Dance Floor
  2. Morphine
  3. Ghosts
  4. Superfly Sister
  5. Is it Scary
The rest of the songs on the album were remixes of prior songs, if you were to turn this into a full fledged LP you would need an additional 7 songs. Since at the time of it's release there was a huge amount of songs that were recorded but didn't make the cut, you could easily take some of those and make a album out of them & the songs above. I want you guys to try and come up with the best album possible using any 7 of the unreleased songs at the time of Blood on the Dance Floor's release (1997). Of the unreleased songs that ended up being leaked, you have a potential selection of these.
  • Behind the Mask
  • Carousel
  • Chicago 1945
  • Don't be Messin Around
  • Got the Hots
  • Hot Street
  • Love Never Felt so Good
  • State of Shock
  • Sunset Driver
  • Abortion Papers
  • Al Capone
  • Do You Know Where Your Children Are
  • Fly Away
  • Free
  • Someone Put your Hand Out
  • Streetwalker
  • Price of Fame
  • I'm so Blue
  • Best of Joy
  • Serious Effect
  • Slave to the Rhythm
  • You were There
  • This is It
  • It Doesn't Matter to Me
  • Ghost of another Lover
  • Changes
  • For All Time
  • Groove of Midnight
  • Scared of the Moon
  • Loving You
You can use any cut or unreleased songs recorded before 1997 when the album released

  6. If You Don't Love Me

I have actually already done this - I created a playlist so that BOTDF could be a home for some of the stray songs that Michael released from the 90's onwards that were not on the main albums.

Given that those 5 songs on BOTDF were uptempo, on my playlist I imagine an album where the 2nd half is made up of ballads:

1. Blood on the Dancefloor
2. Morphine
3. Superfly Sister
4. Ghosts
5. Is It Scary
6. Someone Put Your Hand Out
7. On the Line
8. One More Chance
9. We've Had Enough

I realise that the 'challenge' set by the OP had a certain criteria but I was just sharing the playlist that I have already compiled.

  1. Blood on the Dance Floor
  2. Morphine
  3. Ghosts
  4. Superfly Sister
  5. Is it Scary
  6. Someone Put your Hand Out
  7. Chicago 1945
  8. Ghost of another Lover
  9. Streetwalker
  10. Scared of the Moon
  11. Price of Fame
  12. For All Time
I ignored the thriller era stuff because they didn’t fit the vibe I was going for. I went for a pretty dark and desperate kind of tracklist in continuation of what was already on BOTDF. For All Time ends it all with hope.
This album would have been better than HIStory, Invincible, Bad imo and probably more digestible as Dangerous too.
It of course helps it contains scared of the moon which is breathtaking

Don't forget 'In The Back' (1994 / HIStory)!
I think that one is a must on BOTDF.

Faces is also an option.

1. Blood on the Dance Floor
2. Serious Effect (Feat. LL Cool J)
3. Man in Black

5. Monkey Business
6. 2Bad (Solo)
7. In the Back
8. Ghost of Another Lover
9. Morphine
10. Superfly Sister
11. Is It Scary

I think that Mind is the Magic would also be a great song for BotDF if there was a version that had nothing to do with the shows and was just about the power and magic of one's own thoughts.

Ghost of Another Lover seems to be very popular.
If it only had more and louder vocals, but the melody is amazing.

Instead of the remix album, I would have loved it if Michael had released 'Ghosts – Official Motion Picture Soundtrack'. Including:

- Ghosts (extended version)
- Is It Scary
- Too Bad (Ghosts version)
- Score music by Nicholas Pike

Hmm, tricky.

13 tracks
  1. Blood on the Dance Floor
  2. Morphine
  3. Ghosts
  4. Superfly Sister
  5. Is it Scary
  6. Behind the Mask
  7. Carousel
  8. Don't be Messin Around
  9. Love Never Felt so Good
  10. Do You Know Where Your Children Are
  11. Someone Put your Hand Out
  12. Streetwalker
  13. Slave to the Rhythm
  14. Loving You
There are a couple extra - it would depend on how well they could update them to sound similar to the original 5 songs, so 2 of these would get discarded.

Also, I think somebody asked something similar a couple of weeks ago, but I can't find the thread now.
