Dont remember
Great. You all still have it. I lost my copy in my old computer that crash and I got rid of. Put this somewhere where fans can get it quick and show people.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Reddit can be a great place to check for cool things but can be horrible to discuss something like this. Even if you bring them the facts. MJFacts is nothing but tabloid trash isn't it? I never visited the site and never will because I don't want them to get even more hits but I'm sure most of not all what they say can be rebutted. I'm sure that site claims the story from the maid was true, right? And making no mention of how she actually was a thief and how she admitted to lying about it all, correct?

If those people on Reddit are willing to believe it so easily, I would hope they can have a open mind as well if we post the actual truth about all that. But I kinda doubt it too, there are some real pieces of work there.
No people on that site are pedos. I was on there last year and some of mine post stayed but most positive comments are deleted. Those are sick people/trolls.

HBO know this is a lie but they are hoping for the ratings at any cost.

Question: in the Estate's letter to HBO, they mention unnamed "people" that know Robson and Safechuck who don't believe them.

The only people I'm aware of that have made public statements are Scott Ross and Thomas Mesereau, who only ever spoke to Robson at length in '05. Has anyone else come forward against them?

Safechuck's nephew maybe? Not too long ago we had a tweet by him and he said none of it was true and that MJ was a great person. I believe the tweet was from a while ago though. So not recently, not sure.

I think some ways of advertising against HBO is actually advertising the show too much.. there are still millions of people.that are oblivious of the documentary and some of us are advertising it for HBO by screaming about it..

It only gets people that are unaware - curious.

Yeah it's a bit tricky. On one hand I want to go on several forums and such and tell people about what they should see/read first if they are planning on watching LN, on the other it's entirely possible they don't even know about it. Of course if they have HBO they will find out and maybe watch it too. I certainly don't want to advertise this poison.

Unbelievable. And let me guess, this guy is still part of Sundance?

I did bring myself to look at their profile, and their only post/comments are the original thread and all the responses they made within it. That kind of stuck out to me. They also mention "MJ haters", as though they were separate from that crowd, and that they felt bad for Michael's kids being harassed, no doubt to look like the better, "reasonable" person.

Looking through that thread again (though I really shouldn't), and using Removeddit (site that let's you see deleted reddit posts...yes, including the original post), I saw at least one reasonable post defending Michael that was removed by a mod. So that's lovely.

I'd rather not go after this person anymore than others might have, though; spamming his PM's with stuff would just make things worse, I think, and just give them and the others justification to say "I was right about the fans!", etc.

As far as Gene Simmons, he's one of those "he paid them off, that means he's guilty!1!!" types. I get the feeling he's felt that way for a long time (the KISS vs. MJ sketch from MadTV is a good indicator).

What the hell. So they let the trashing of MJ go on for a while and then close the thread but a positive message was deleted? Yeah, I don't want to deal with Reddit because I'm gonna lose my account, I'll be banned.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Gene Simmons? He should talk! He was also accused of sexual harassment or something like that, so he should hush. Like I said, those who protest the loudest, are the ones doing the most behind closed doors.

I'm not bringing anymore attention to that "mockumentary." Been there, done that, it's over.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Just remember for those who have HBO and are hesitant to get rid of it because of Games Of Thrones.. just remember HBO isnt the only way to watch shows from HBO!

Not endorsing illegal streaming..

But not every hbo user is a die hard GoT Fan I guess.
They can come back to hbo a few months later after the mokementary has aired and watch then GoT.
They should mainly resign a few months now to send a sighn to HBO they understand!

Yeah, I just meant in general.. none of us need to watch HBO shows on HBO! There are several ways to watch things that never 'help' a specific channel.. in fact more so hurt it by watching it in other means.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

I have Hulu but I need to pay extra for HBO. That's an easy decision to make, lol. I can absolutely wait a while to watch Game of Thrones.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

It is also a massive advertisement for the documentary.

The current plan for the bus advertisements in London is not a terrible idea, as long as the timing is right and they don't advertise the documentary. BUT the impact will be UK only, and even then only a small part of the UK. This documentary's impact is global and that's why Taj's own documentary and those being produced for free by the online community may actually be more effective in the long run. I just hope some of the mainstream press pick up on the 'innocence' project and run features on it, because that's additional advertising for the project. A half page advert in a national newspaper is beyond the amount the project itself is likely to raise, so a mention in one of their reports could be great.

A QR code may be a useful addition (and wouldn't cost extra), but I'm not sure how many people would scan that on the side of a bus.

Personally I think it would be more effective to place ads in the metro as a priority.
People actually read the metro - they give it their attention, unlike buses - so they're more likely to take notice of any detail provided.

That way the ads can state some basic facts about WHY R&S cannot be trusted. Why they are lying.

IF there was a enough money try several themed adverts, covering money, honesty, bias, background/betrayal.

MONEY: they say it's NOT about money BUT tried to get a book deal. Suing the MJ Estate for Money AND still planning to appeal even now.

HONESTY: Lying in legal papers. Contradictions. Evolving stories over time. Misleading content. Stories copied from a 90s book. Wade saying he didn't know the MJ Estate existed (despite working for them and discussing Cirque Du Soleil with them).

BIAS: Quote from Dan Reed about NOT interviewing anybody who would contradict his story. His documentary contradicting legally documented facts.

Background/betrayal: Legal declaration that they were never abused. Testifying in court. Wade media interviews.Wade's ongoing contact and friendship with MJ - the barbecue in 2008 etc.

Any metro/bus or other media ads must be timed very carefully, and I don't know what the best option is.

A letter has been sent according to AP. But I cant find the letter anywhere. Why only 3 pages to channel 4 when HBO got 10? Seems odd.

Also it should be ALLEGED victims at the bottom of the article.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Michael Jackson estate has sent a letter to the U.K.’s Channel 4 warning that a documentary on two men who accuse the singer of molesting them as boys violates the network’s programming guidelines.

The letter written by estate attorney Howard Weitzman and released Monday to The Associated Press states that “Leaving Neverland,” set to air in early March, makes no attempt at getting a response to the accusers from Jackson’s estate, family, friends or others who have defended his reputation as required by the channel’s standards for factual programming and basic journalistic ethics.

The letter cites a section of the publicly available guidelines that state if a show makes “significant allegations” then “those concerned should be given an appropriate and timely opportunity to respond.”

“I think we can all agree that the false allegations being made in your ‘documentary’ are ‘significant allegations,’” the letter states, adding “it is hard to imagine more significant accusations that can possibly be made against anyone.”

Yet no one was ever asked to respond, the letter states.

“This includes persons mentioned by name in your ‘documentary’ as having ‘replaced’ Robson and Safechuck as Jackson’s supposed victims of abuse. Those named persons eloquently and publicly deny ever being abused,” the letter states.

Channel 4 representatives did not immediately reply to an after-hours request for comment.

The film’s director Dan Reed has addressed the criticism from the estate previously, saying in a statement that he intentionally focused on just Robson and Safechuck.

“Anyone who sees the film will know it is solely about hearing the stories of two specific individuals and their families in their own words, and that is a focus we are very proud of,” Reed said.

The three-page document from the estate echoes a longer letter it sent to HBO on Friday calling the allegations from Wade Robson and James Safechuck “disgraceful” and urging investigation of the men’s backgrounds. A copy of the HBO letter was included with the Channel 4 letter, and applies just as much to the U.K. station, the letter states.

The two channels co-produced the documentary account of how the two men’s lives intersected with Jackson’s when they were kids at the height of his fame, and how the trauma of what they say happened in their youth started to emerge in their adult life.

It premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival, where Robson and Safechuck got a standing ovation afterward.

Both had previously told authorities Jackson did not molest them, with Robson testifying as much in Jackson’s 2005 trial, in which he was acquitted of molesting another boy. Jackson died in 2009.

Both men later filed lawsuits that were dismissed and are currently on appeal.

The AP does not typically name victims of sexual abuse, but attorneys for Robson and Safechuck have said they have agreed to be named publicly.

It's only 3 pages because they attached the HBO letter to it. ''A copy of the HBO letter was included with the Channel 4 letter''.

Channel 4 has just confirmed it will broadcast the explosive Michael Jackson expose Leaving Neverland on March 6 and 7 at 9pm,

Ugh. I might just go into hibernation that week....

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Its being broadcasted in the netherlands the 8th march.

And in Denmark and Belgium and but I dont know the date for these countries.

Probably the best way to promote this shambolic film is to have it broadcast worldwide with different dates during a wide time span.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

It has not been broadcast in Denmark yet - but it will on DR1 - the biggest TV station in Denmark - and the only channel evryone has to pay to...

It is already very bad in Denmark... - Today a big shopping mall has decided to remove a wax figure of MJ because some shoppers got offended...

Sad times... Can't see how it gets better from here. - When national TV starts to air the moc, everything will be worse.

I can see March being a truly terrible month for MJ fans. We're in the calm before the storm.
