Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

As a Leafs fan....dont remind me of that game lol the Drake curse is very real.

Drake better not go anywhere near any Liverpool players, that little double agent. It couldn't care less about his song though, or should I say " It don't matter to me, what you say..."

Maybe he shouldn't be attending any sporting events at all for a while, not even the Raptors games since they're in the NBA playoffs, his curse will affect them that they will lose their game.

This would be the only problem/concerns I have with Branca's comment about "considering" suing. I think he kind of has to now, because if he doesn't, it'll look like they are backing down or running away and were just bluffing to get some headlines. I am not a lawyer so I don't know what grounds they'd have to sue Reed, but I think Branca needs to be careful for the things he says he'll deliver on and cannot.

I do not care if they do not win, the Estate still needs to sue to let folks know they are serious. I agree with the Kardashians on doing this as they say when it comes to issue with them now, if you come at them, they said they will sue and do not care if u are broke. I agree.

I swear they did all the talking. These people who keep raging on MJ fans for shoving their theories down their throat online - they are doing the same in reverse. It's like they only had her on to tell her how they feel. We don't freggin care!!!

Is that Julia Roberts? Great another one to hate. I actually never liked her but now I can feel good about not liking her.

Who are you talking about? As for fans, we will continue to speak. At least fans know what they are talking about and can back it up. They can not and that is why they complain about fans because they know we are right.

Someone in here asked to post this youtube video ( there are 3 parts) of this one comic artist talking about MJ. I believe after watching this - he does believe MJ is innocent and he reveals a story about a phone call he had with a mutual friend he has with Macauley, about Lisa Marie.

In the 3rd part he says he got information from someone that there are allegedly 20 other alleged victims who were paid off (I think he got the info from a false report in a tabloid) - but still the way he talks about MJ - he just added that to sound fair but I still got the feeling he believes MJ is innocent and to not mute his music.

They simply use the chance to cash in on the siuation.
They know they can't accuse MJ of molesting them.
( When it would be possible they would do this too).
But they try use the situation to make pressure on the Jackson family and MJs children because of the parentie what also helps the global media cause they would love to finally reveal that MJ is not the father of his children. This makes a lot of new stories for them and new money.
It doesn't matter to them if lester is not the father. Alone that they can sell the story in the next years that MJ is not the father is enough for them.
I absolutly don't like the Lesters.

All of the less real friens from MJ died or are dieing.
Some people who were alive in the timline of the accusations don't live no more including MJ.
So we should really overall suport the aniti legacy deformarmation law!

I don't want to start any discussion about MJs parentie now!!!
I belive the three are his children cause I know it is possible and MJ is sometimes something like the eight worldwonder to me!

Fair enough lol. I mustve missed the sports thread. Yeah some team actually banned players from taking photos with drake before any games because they lost when they did lol. Drake hasnt been to any raptor playoff games so far (good!). Although I cant deny karmas role here. Muting MJ was a stupid move on his part. I wouldnt mind him wearing a bruins jersey next game in Boston ;)

As for any further lawsuits, Im doubtful on the other options. Since defamation in this case is legal what other options do the estate have? Copywrited footage? Im more confident in the HBO lawsuit since its clear that HBO broke the agreement of the contract.

In the end, Regardless if MJ is not their bio father is no ones business. At the of the day, those are his kids. They are in his Will and he took care of them. HE IS the father.

Sorry for bringing Perl up again, put she is saying something interesting things about Reeds previous work what starts at 11:00:

The peodfile hunter was about a group of people who are trying to catch peodos on the not legal way!
Sounds this not very familiar with the people of MJfacts, MJvictims and other MJ aters group we are dealing with?
This is exactly what they are also doing and what LN also presents cause LN trys to make/(catch) MJ a pedofile on the not legal way!

This sounds maybe like a direct connections from this well known MJhaters groups to LN.

I would like to know if MJ or his accusers are somewhere mentioned in the peodofile Hunter...
But I refuse to watch the film.
I would like to know if an transcribt does somewhere exists.

Lynn Nottage Discusses Michael Jackson Depiction In Upcoming Bio-Musical Following HBO Documentary

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage is currently at work developing the book of a stage musical based on the life and career of music legend Michael Jackson.

Following the premiere of the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland earlier this year, in which two men allege sexual abuse at the hands of Jackson, some questions arose as to how the musical would approach the history of pedophilia and sexual abuse allegations brought against the singer.

Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail is now reporting that Nottage, an affirmed believer of Jackson's accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, has confirmed that she is continuing work on the show, with the hopes of telling the story of a person who was "a genius but...immensely flawed."

The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage announced that they are developing a stage musical inspired by the life of "The King of Pop" last summer.

Jackson was one of the most popular entertainers in the world, and was the best-selling music artist during the year of his death. Jackson's contributions to music, dance, and fashion along with his publicized personal life made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.

The eighth child of the Jackson family, Michael made his professional debut in 1964 with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5. He began his solo career in 1971 while at Motown Records.
In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. His music videos, including those of "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller, are credited with breaking racial barriers and transforming the medium into an art form and promotional tool. The popularity of these videos helped bring the television channel MTV to fame. Jackson's 1987 album Bad spawned the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror", and "Dirty Diana", becoming the first album to have five number-one singles in the nation. He continued to innovate with videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" throughout the 1990s, and forged a reputation as a touring solo artist.

Through stage and video performances, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. His distinctive sound and style has influenced numerous artists of various music genres.

If she is going to believe two liars, the she does not need to work on it and I would not go. I hope the Estate do not let her do it.

Oh hell no. I rather see him get his own @$$ kicked by Cam Neely than see him in a Bruins jersey in Game 5.

If she believes those backstabbers, then to hell with that project of hers.

I don’t think that’s what the word affirmed means in that context. I think it means she agrees with what that courts have decided in regards to James/Wades claims. I could be wrong but...

"an affirmed believer of Jackson's accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck"

I don't see any other way to take that other than she believes the accusations. It would be another failure by the estate to let her continue to work on the project.

Indeed... though I get the feeling if they boot her off the project people will just take it as a sign that they're trying to cover things up/protect their cash cow. -_- I would hate for the musical to be affected any further by all this, but would be best if they found someone who wouldn't be biased.

That’s what I thought when I first read it. I scratched my head and did a bit of research on the word and it can mean different things. I’m sure your right and I am wishful thinking. If it does mean she believes them then she has to go now! There isn’t a fan on the planet that would buy a ticket to that show if that’s what she really believes.

No, no one who is willing to believe liars should work on a project. she is believing something that is FALSE. There is no cover up on how MJ was investigated and if anyone can not see that, then people like that will believe what they want. She should NOT work on it if she has that belief. If she does, will she talk about the LIES told in court? People who admitted to lies under oath? if she want to go there, then she better go both ways and reveal what MJ had to go through. And she needs to put scenes where tabloid told people to lie on MJ in order to pay them 6 figures. So again, IF anyone wants this lying accusations to be done in the play, then they better reveal the LIES by the accusers and others; if not, leave it the #%^ alone.

I didn't mean to imply that she should stay on. I definitely think they need to find someone else. It just makes me upset that this musical just happened to have someone on it who believes R&S and now it's messing shit up. Just a shitty coincidence all around.

She should not touch the musical AT ALL based on what the Daily Mail has quoted her as saying. Not only she believes them she had very negative opinion of mj the man based on what she said. Branca should feel ashamed of himself really. the estate is a complete failure.

It's possible she was hired on to do this before LN was announced and/or before her opinions were known, so they wouldn't have had any way of knowing this until now.
