Hi there!
Normann Shay, Madonna's former dancer who worked with her on the Confessions Tour and the Sticky & Sweet Tour, was interviewed by one of her fan clubs last May, and he mentioned MJ a few times
Full interview:
From 2:32 to 4:13, Normann Shay shows great admiration for Michael Jackson and talks about the influence MJ had on his life. As a child, Normann attended the Bad Tour with his father, who worked as a security guard for the tour
From 1:08:34 onward, Shay says Michael himself called him to join the This Is It tour, but he declined due to his contract with Madonna. Madonna thanked Normann for his loyalty after learning MJ’s offer. He also mentions MJ invited him, Madonna, and her dancers to watch the This Is It tour.
Normann also says that when MJ passed away, Madonna called her dancers to her house, where she was deeply sad and crying. She asked Normann what they could do, and he suggested honoring Michael. Normann said Madonna showed great love and respect for MJ in her tribute. He also mentioned asking Madonna if she and MJ had ever kissed or had something romantic, but she initially refused to answer. When Shay pressed her, she said no, explaining that Michael was like a child. Madonna praised MJ, calling him a gentleman, and said they watched cartoons together. She added that while watching TV, MJ put his arm around her in an innocent, childlike gesture.
It’s worth noting that Madonna displayed a photo of Michael on a big screen during her last tour, alongside photos of her ex-boyfriends, but neither the interviewers nor Normann mentioned this. (Yes, I know MJ wasn’t in love with her or interested in her, but she was interested in him)
Normann helped produce and direct Jaafar's album and a music video. The director of Michael's biopic chose Jaafar to play his uncle Michael after seeing the video. Jaafar is managed by Normann and his business partner. Normann is very excited about Michael's biopic and mentioned watching some of Jaafar's recordings for the movie
