I personally think that dancing is like a finger print-- no two people can dance the same, because true dancing comes from inside you. The reason Michael was so good was because he knew this, and embraced it. He didn't impersonate Jame brown, he allowed himself to be influenced by him but he danced as himself. That's why I learn his choreography, but I do it my way. There is a LOT of skill in being a mimic, but not artistry (in terms of creating something new).
Even the greatest chorus line dancers cannot dance exactly alike. Any others who freestyle dance to MJ? Would love to see some... if I get brave enough maybe I'll even post a little jam session!
