So, what’s the situation right now? Because everything seems quite confusing to me. They waited about two months to release In The Closet in 4K upscaled—does that mean they plan to do the same for all the Dangerous short films, or do they have something else in mind? Can anyone clarify this, or share their thoughts about it?

Probably just took 2 months to find the best quality tape to upscale. Or they could of just forgot lol. They will most likely do the same upscale for the rest of the films. I will be surprised if they actually remaster anything traditionally post-Bad.

The current leadership of the estate has just GOT TO GO!
Branca, Mc Clain & Langford all should be axed as soon as possible..

They fucked up so many times and in such inconceivable ways it's hard to grasp.
All the while still making billions (because of MJ's name, the work he left behind and the assets he accumulated during his life time) and filling their pockets in the process.

They are the most successful estate all the while being the most amateurish, making the most dumbfounded and egregious decisions..
 
It is long time that Mj fans worldwide protest against the estate it absolutely must be replaced

well she‘s the one who mainly does the releases, even clearly stated in the Thriller 40 booklet. She must‘ve also been the one who grabbed the wrong Black or White tape just cause it said „uncensored version“ but didn‘t bother checking it before sending it out

But GENUINE it’s what it won’t will be.
They’re not genuine, so they can’t ever give such an answer.

Remember their machinations during the cashio song scandal.
And the „glory“ stance they took when the songs were removed over a decade ago..
It’s an online disgrace!

The whole „oNlinE TeAm“ should also be let go!!
 
Interestingly a better upscale than other versions but while ai is great for restoring low quality audios it doesn't have the same impact with video. Curious as to why they weren't able to remaster these like Beat It & Thriller.

At least we already have everything from Moonwalker including Smooth Criminal (baffling it wasn't uploaded 15 years ago tho).

The worst upscale yet, the way In The Closet was shoot make it a very bad thing for it to be AI upscaled, way too many camera movements. Disappointed.
