Dangerous Short Films are currently being upscaled to 4K on YouTube!

Originally, BOW and RTT were both in Dolby Surround. They were among the first videos to do do, and yet most of the time they are released in stereo.

How many channels do these upscales have?

Agreed 100%. To know they have the film reels and still chose to run the video through an A.I. app is very telling.

I dont understand, they use old YT video and upscale this or use another source

they didn‘t actually remaster the Victory Tour footage, just scanned the camera negatives, adjusted the colors and cut them together
 
They probably know they've lost the fanbase long ago and now they especially don't care anymore..

I said it before, the only thing that will help in the medium or long run, will be a change of personell at the very top.
And subsequently a new understanding, a new agenda and a new direction for the whole firm/machine & everybody involved.
Branca is 74, hell maybe he will carry on another 10 years. You can't ignore the mighty $$$..
And I don't know McClain's age, he's quite the phantom.

Is rather have that then an a.i upscaled. We only have tape transfers of the victory tour before thriller 40 so.... yeah I'd take that any day!
 
To be honest, I'd be more interested in a director's commentary than an upscale.
 
the RTT upscaling isnt as horrible as it was in the past but, like it was said earlier, the watery-like look to it feels so awkward
but yeah...if they shot it on film, why not use that😭
 
If these are just temporary upscale's until they do a proper remaster then I'm ok with it. In the long run there's no reason not to (as long as the film is located).
As stated before, If they just made a statement on this it would go a long way.
