I just wanted to ask a few questions to the directors of MJ's short films, but unfortunately some have already passed away and it's no longer possible.

Exactly. Forget upscaling. Go away and do some stuff like recording commentaries. The sirt of thing they won't be able to do in 2030.

Because Michael abandoned the film halfway through, this is something MJ didn’t want out. This is by definition an unfinished project finished with an impersonator-

Exactly my point, though if deepfaking Michael onto Casanova is the best solution I'm not sure they should bother restoring it at all

The saving grace has always been the soft layer of haze that Fincher put over the whole film, disguising Ecasanova's face just enough so that it's not too distracting. Not sure how they'd accomplish that after restoration

I mean it would prob be something that would need to be discussed with Fincher, since it was his baby after Michael abandoned the project.

Why did Michael abandon the project in seriousness. I thought the E’Casanova thing was a joke.

I mean the whole era of this song as a single was kind of mishandled. Between that and Give in to Me.

Because of the video being about an abused call girl, Michael didn't want to be associated with such a dark topic.
