Did Childhood get any airplay in 95 as the B side of scream?

It was actually a double A-Side, which means both songs were supposed to receive equal promotion. They were both really personal songs for MJ. He probably REALLY liked Childhood, but the record label was savvy enough to know that it wouldn’t be the best choice for a single(on its own). So I’m sure a compromise was made which meant that Scream would be released with Childhood, so that both songs would get exposure. It was smart since Scream was destined to be a hit, I’m honestly shocked it didn’t hit number 1.

I remember hearing childhood on the radio at the time. But not very often by any means. Scream, the video, the trailer, the Diane sawyer interview and the album launch itself drowned it out. Yana soon took over the airwaves and that was that. If I remember correctly the song is not even featured in the free Willy 2 movie at all I don’t think.
