Hey Gaz getting lots of spam bots in mod que again ( so far its manageable)

Im testing some things yes, and one of them is if you notice, lol and what impact it has.
Basically we a public board and a big one at that and we like every other board out there should be free to register for genuine members, bare with me whilst I really get to the bottom of the register settings and whats programs fit best so we can be free to have registrations.
Also can you report all your own findings issues in detail here so I can tackle them head on.
Ive got to get this perfectly right, I know its doable just need to find that balance.

no problems so far ... just noticing bots posting again.
i post here if I see any other changes ..
One good thing .. spam is down in the member service mail (seems back to normal)
received message from aprox dozen new members requesting membership the past week.
I noticed some mail returns saying something about not recognizing mail server ???
One request can you make "Jr member" the default on "add new member" in control panel
I have to manually change if from "proud member" each time I add a new member and have forgot a few times.

K no probs, what I need to be assured of is they are going into the jr group so no posts are showing up to the main users,
if you notice anyone going into one of the other groups let me know here and who they are. oh and we are to leave them in the jr group from here on in.

I want to clarify when you say not to move members. (So we are on same page)
When I BAN spammers I have option to move to banned or spam group. I have been choosing spam group So in that instance only they are being moved from Jr member status to spam group
Now if you dont want me to ban the spammers either let me know.
I haven't changed groups for any non spammer members who have registered
I will inform you if I see any member registered under any other group other than Jr. member.
