I think everyone who had/has troubles with Michael and his relationship with children must really blame Joseph: he inflicted the trauma, the pressure of staying succesful and the longing to not grow up (and to keep his voice high and not to accept his acne, grown up looks etc.)
 
Three things about the books btw: They were definitely categorized as artbooks.

I now work for an archive and a couple of titles are included in the inventory of a collection of art books. If you are a bit older you know that a lot of people owned books like this actually; it was a different time and nudity was everywhere

Also, one of the books was from my (famous) former teacher and is about androgyny
 
I try not to lean on the argument that the books were legal because in theory, could someone seek out such material for nefarious reasons? Of course. I don't think we need to rely on a technicality to defend Michael when his inscription in one of the books about how he wants this joy for his own children tells us everything we need to know about where his mind was. Not to mention at least one other being a gift from a fan.

I don't like to say it because it sounds like I'm blaming or judging him but Michael was also a hoarder. You could lose an elephant in any room he frequented. I truly believe that he didn't even remember or know about a lot of the books he owned.

100%. I dont think people realise how much of a hoarder he was! A lot of the photography books he had as well were gifted from the photographers themselves as a "we want to work with you, please see what we've done" kind of thing. I've been listening to the trial transcripts on YouTube, dont ask me why... forgot about half the stuff that was done/mentioned!

Common Sense should tell you, if you are OILED DOWN and BEATEN WITH AN IRONING CORD, you will have to seek MEDICAL HELP. and he was a child. If that happened to you as an ADULT, you would NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION, COMMON SENSE.
