There were a few interesting things in this interview that I had to make a thread about it.



August 23 is supposed to be the prelimiary hearing.

Brian says, "Still the prosecution, the LA district attorney's office have not turned over to Conrad Murray the materials they have." And he says, as a result of that, it doesn't seem Murray will be set for a preliminary hearing on August 23.

At 22:00, Eddie asks working to move it to second degree, and even first degree murder. And Eddie had a meeting with Jerry Brown a couple days ago and made an appointment with him to go to Sacramento.

Oxman also says he thinks everyone should DEMAND the D.A. that the charges be changed. Around 24:40, he goes on to speaking about the evidence being held back from the public...then talks about over prescribing of drugs from many doctors....

At 37:20, he begins speaking about how the family cannot publish their own pictures of Michael.

Around 42:40, the interviewer goes on to say how he thinks Sony, Tommy Motolla, AEG, Thome Thome, John Branca etc. are all making money off of Michael.

At 46:00, Eddie talks about talking to Chief of Police, whome he has a connection with, to get the reports of what happened at Carolwood before and after those hours.

At 47:25, they talk about a lot that has been unanswered in the coroner's report

At 50:00, they bring in a question from the fans who wanted to know what happened to the security footage that night. Eddie Jones says "that has got to be the number one question. Where in the heck are the video tapes?"

Brian says "The information I have recieved is that the police have surveilance tapes. The tapes have not yet been turned over to Conrad Murray. And they have been kept by the LA police authorites for now more than a year. That is wrong.....The video tapes of the people coming and going from his home have now been surpressed over a year. We haven't seen so much secrecy since Princess Diana died. Something's wrong with that."

Yes, having Brian talk on speaker is ghetto, but the information brought up is no doubt IMPORTANT, and that's all that really matters.

again, oxman is pursing his 'drug addiction' angle.

And, oxman wants these docs to sell to tabs

I am referring to the presentation only. Did not wait for BRIAN OXMAN, because his credibility is less than zero.
 
Yes, Brian can be wrong, but he's not 100% wrong ALL the time.

Well, let's hope then that he is actually WRONG about the files not being turned over to Murray yet, meaning that the prelimary on August 23 would have to be pushed back....."A delay in justice is not justice at all."

As for the security tapes, from the info he's recieved, they are with police. I hope so because that means they weren't stolen and destroyed.
 
This is a criminal case and of course the DA will keep the information / evidence (such as the security tapes or any evidence being held back from public) secret. You don't make those public. Making them public equals to saying "hey defense here's the evidence we have against you prepare for it and win the case at court".. You don't show the cards that you are holding to the opposite side.

any why Oxman is repeating Murray's teams argument of "they didn't got the documents" while the DA says "they are turning the documents" ?

sometimes I feel like Oxman doesn't care about getting a guilty verdict on a criminal trial but his focus is on using the information (that he demands to be publicly available) as a source for his lawsuits and a chance to go on the media etc.

How can Oxman know that the tapes have not been turned over to Murray if he isn't talking with his defense team? DA or LAPD will not be discussing such issues or information with Oxman.
 
Sometimes I just really wish people would think this through. The law process is what it is. Except for mandatory disclosure at some point, no one is gonna provide incriminating evidence to the other side unless legally required. And except for Oxman's desire to do whatever the hell he's doing, the law will stand.

Ultimately, I am trying to see all sides to this, but it only becomes increasingly difficult to do so in r/t Oxman, his big time history in the past MJ trials and Oxman's appearances/rounds on the likes of Nancy Grace's shows, etc., and "statements", NOT in support of Michael and the accusations, etc.

If Oxman was just now, during this process, appearing on talk shows, maybe I would give him a quick second of time/listening. But seriously, for those that closely followed the last accusations/trial and saw/heard his statements on Nancy Grace's shows, and all the other Michael dissection/accusative tabloid shows/channels,, r/t Michael's guilt, I just am speechless- time for me to get out of this forum. :mello:

Oh, there is no question Oxman is a media whore! That is why TM fired him at the trial.
He is correct in saying those video tapes have been suppressed for over a year now. I understand they use the excuse that they are keeping evidence a secret but it should come out at trial then. Time will tell.
