So it was on the Dangerous album anniversary this year that I discovered there is another version of Give In To Me. I've been around since the Dangerous album. Can someone give me a little more detail like background information on this vocal version? What makes it different other than time difference between the version released on dangerous and then the single version?

I have an instrumental version, but I don't know about this one. Maybe they just shortened the guitar solo for radio?

the version on King of Pop is as long as the album version
there are three versions of Give in to Me, the original and 2 demos
there is also a shorter version from The Remix Collection, this should be the single version from the UK single

I had no idea there were three different versions out of give it to me so four versions total wow.

I have one demo version but I didn't realize there were two of them

In terms of mixing (reverbs, guitar parts, effects, adlibs, etc), there are many different versions of the 'Give In To Me' song.

Michael Jackson’s “Give In To Me” Is a Rock Song Featuring Slash
May 06, 2025
Entertainment Weekly called Michael Jackson’s “Give In To Me” from the “Dangerous” album “his best-ever shot at hard rock” and the song with Guns N’ Roses guitarist, Slash, certainly delivers just that.

There are subtle differences in the vocal version. You might not hear them on first hearing, but they are there. For example: listen to the guitar at 1:50, right before Michael starts singing 'You and your friends'. Listen to the album version and the vocal version, at 1:50 these versions are still in sync. You'll notice that in the vocal version the guitar has sort of a yelp ( I don't know how else to describe it), which is muted in the album version. (It's a sound I really like though, when you've heard it, you'll miss it in the album version.)
