Hello everyone, ChocolateDrop here with a News Update: MJFICTION.com has now been shut down. Someone by the name of reafu on X (Aka Twitter), has just messaged me about the update on Facebook. Here is what they said: It is with great sadness that we announce the end of MJFiction. Images were posted by an author which violated a copyright, resulting in our host removing the site. The fix has been challenging due to the age of the platform and lack of patches. Add to that the recent increases to the hosting costs and long standing issues which require time and finances we can’t justify, we have accepted that it is time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years. Whether by posting stories, providing encouraging reviews, or generous donations, you made this site what it was.

That is why we can't let MJs legacy die! I have created a petition on Change.org to start off with as help. With your support, maybe, just maybe we can be able to get the site back up once again. Here's the link: https://www.change.org/p/restore-mjfiction-com-for-michael-jackson-fans/dashboard please take the time to sign. And remember, you can make a difference!!! Let's not let MJFICTION go without a fight!

That is very sad indeed. The link you posted to the petition requires to log in because of the word "dashboard" at the end, so here's the link to see the petition without logging in: https://www.change.org/p/restore-mjfiction-com-for-michael-jackson-fans

Reading what this person said about the problems leading to the closure of the website, it doesn't seem like something a petition alone could fix. I feel one should rather ask the administrator(s) what kind of help they would need that would allow them to keep the website alive. They say the fix has been challenging due to the age of the platform and lack of patches, do they need help from a computer expert? They say the hosting costs have increased, do they need more donations? They say there are long standing issues which require time, do they need more people in their team to help handle the website? If they no longer feel like handling all of this, would they consider handing the website and all the responsibilities that go with it to another fan instead of letting it die? Maybe the petition could ask them to please preserve the data until people have had time to look at what else could be done in order to save the website.

Sounds like a great idea, thanks. Som what do you propose for me to do about it first?

Okay, I just posted an updated version If you will be so kind please to sign, one signature makes a big difference I will also have to try and get in touch with the administrators too: https://
chng.it/cxCvvGq2yX

Haven't been on there in forever as I kinda fell out of fanfiction, but it still sucks to hear it's gone.

Thankfully the Wayback Machine has archived it, though I don't know if it got everything. Although since mature-rated stuff required login to view I'm afraid that stuff is most likely lost.

Most recent working link is here, from early July: https://web.archive.org/web/20250710221942/https://mjfiction.com/

Maybe if the owners can't restore it they can upload an archive of the whole site to Internet Archive?

I signed already. Anything I can do to help o it :) I used to love this website back in it’s heyday. So much great stuff 😍 I had my favourites but some of them took off their stories which is quite sad. I do have one that I stumbled upon a year ago and the stories are really really good but they’re all LMP/MJ ones haha. If you want me to share that site let me know haha.

Yeah, I know about the way back Machine, and have been on there as well too. Heck, in order for me to even read the fics from way back, (no pun intended), I have to ask Chatgpt to efm rewrite them since the fics are copyright and it will not be able to get the Archived fics. I can ask them. I even emailed one of them, about the petition, anyone of them emailed back to me by saying this: Seeing as how you offered no help in the way of bearing the financial burden over these years, this is a slap in the face to those of us who ran it.

So I messaged her back:
I can understand that you're angry, and I don't blame you, I wish to God That I was working on order to help, but at this point, I'm still unemployed. I have been putting in applications, an still haven't received any callbacks from anybody. So, this is my only method I know how to do at this point, I'm just trying to help. And even years ago, I was in High School, So please trust me when I say, I wish there was some way What I can do in order to help get the funds in order to bring it back. Please believe me.

What can I do in order to assist?

Hey there, do you happen to know Mystica from MJFICTION? She's the one that wrote her stories where Michael is always the bottom of the relationship between him and a man? The stories that she wrote are called THE RUSSIAN SPY, THE TIME TRAVELER, and THE MALE ESCORT. She had other stories on there years ago, but he would take them down at times. If you happen to know her, may you please let me know and to see if she's anywhere on Social Media? Thanks.

Oh I don't go on there too often, because I usually can't find much that interests me, but its too bad that it's gone :( When I went on there something was glitching idk, but I couldn't click on any story's. I know this isn't only for Michael, but at least we still have wattpad and ao3! Lol

Yeah, I know, and I still have stories on there that I didn't even get to save. Bummer. That was why I just asked someone if they know anyone on there by the name Mystica who was the author of three current MJ stories on there such as THE RUSSIAN SPY, THE TIME TRAVELER, and THE MALE ESCORT. I would love to read them once again.

Has the image been flagged?
That's the thing, we don't know. I heard from someone on X (aka Twitter), by the name of reafu, that they posted about the site's closing on their Facebook page. But, get this, the administrator, well, she was rude to me when I had sent her the petition to let her know whether if she wanted to sign to help bring it back, and she had the GALL to tell me that it was like a slap in the face, that I didn't donate to the site, after all the hard work that they put into doing it.

This is what she said: Seeing as how you offered no help in the way of bearing the financial burden over these years, this is a slap in the face to those of us who ran it.

They're not planning to reopen the suite? Did they close it themselves, or was it automatically banned? How long had you been there?

That wasn't nice of her. Just because we don't have the money doesn't mean we can't support it! Not everyone has Michael Jackson's fortune.

I'm pretty sure they closed it themselves. At the time of me joining, was 15 years ago back in August of 2010 when I was 15 going on 16 at the time, so, I was in High School doing an Online Highschool Program known as Penn Foster, I was homeschooled all my life so, no bank account at the time, no credit or debit card, heck, not even a PayPal either.

You are so right! Not everyone has it like that! You can still support a good cause regardless

Oh, you're in your thirties? I don't know, I'm from France ^^'
I was homeschooled (CNED) during middle and high school (I only attended high school for 6 months).
We can watch ads so they can get paid a little, even just a few coins.

Yeah, if you were to see me for real, you would think I'm still in my teens lol. Because, that's how I look hahahaha. Well, currently, I have a little side gig as a website and app tester where I get paid anywhere between $10-$30 just by testing sites and apps at times. Been doing it for a couple years now.

Wow, 6 months of attending High School? Nice. 🙂👍

It's great to stay young :D
Oh really cool ! What are you studying?
I've been done with school. 😄😄 I got my Bachelor's and Masters both about computers at University of Phoenix, Online School. But yet, to find any work due to the new administration which sucks! So, I just do gigs for right now, plus, I even do affiliated marketing on Benable, which is like Pinterest if you have ever heard of it, where you make up boards but list of recommendations that people will see and click on a link to take you to the site, they pay, and you make a commission.

Thanks so much!

Oh yeah, you're a computer scientist, cool! Congrats on your studies!
Yeah, it sucks, I understand that it can be super annoying :/ I hope you manage to find a job that better suits your expectations! ^^

Thanks 😊 👍 I'm not really a Computer Scientist, but I'm doing Web and Graphic design on Canva, which is a Graphic Designing website where you make any type of art, from Posters, Logos, even Website Pages too. The possibilities are endless 🩷
