You know some reporter said when MJ passed away that he attracted people who are just like him- misunderstood, disgruntled, and lonely. Other than the music, how do you relate to the man himself?

I personally feel that MJ and I are kindred spirits. I relate to his lonliness sometimes. I can be quite shy like him and I grew up being somewhat abused myself. I just relate to him so much. His music is like my therapy!

I guess we all feel disgruntled misunderstood and lonely at times....
MJ was a man a human but cant help putting him on a pedestal...........
He was and IS the most amazing person who ever breathed the same air as us. :agree:

I related to him as a brother as similar age to MJ. Also a friend.................a friendship that goes beyond death..............''I just cant stop lovin you'' is playing on my I pod as I type! It rolled into that..makes me think..another sign and connection.....???

MJ? The BEST. :)

Years ago, when he was the "phenomenon" that came with Thriller, I used to "relate" to him like he was just an idol...I admired him so much, he seemed untouchable. I thought someone like him would never have anything to do with someone like me. But once I got to know more about him I felt like I could relate to him in terms of being misunderstood and lonely sometimes, of not understanding the pettiness and cruelty of many in this world, and of not having a father who was able to show love to me. Thankfully, I've been able to learn so much from him about ALL of the above problems that it's helping me not only cope with his loss to some extent (and that comes and goes) but also it's helping me know how I want to live my life and see the world.
