If “One More Chance” was properly released and promoted, would it have been Michael’s 2000s success?

So yes, I think “One More Chance” and the 2004 version of “Beautiful Girl” would have at least made modest hits - one can’t deny there was more effort and focus into those songs than the Invincible album.

It's a pretty basic and average song in terms of Michael's standards I think... It's mostly good enough because it's simply Michael singing it.

I don't mind R kelly's voice, but I always disliked his ad libs in this song, both in the chorus, and towards the end of the song

I think the video for One More Chance is quite innovative because Michael and the audience have switched roles. The audience is on stage, in the spotlight of his attention.
The accusations damaged the passionately sung song in several ways. They interrupted the filming of the innovative video, prevented its release at the time, and generated bad press. One More Chance could have become a real chart hit, but fate didn't give it a chance.
